The turbo is still sat marginally off centre, I'm hoping that the Lateral header pipes bring the turbo central & the Samco inlet will then line up perfectly. & if that doesn't work I will be

It's genuine Samco fitted. It doesn't seem that the inlet is collaspsing in the middle (where I have seen people using the jubilee clip technique), its more to do with the routing of the Samco to the turbo. The Samco is pretty much crushed against the inlet manifold as it bends around the manifold to reach the turbo.
