Had this been a case of a straightforward underhand rip off then fair enough but that is not the case.

I have admitted to Adrien that its nobody's fault but my own that this transaction has gone wrong.

Adrien and I are dealing with the matter amiciably and between ourselves. That's all you good folks need to know. Hopefully everyone can get back to doing whatever it is they do without stirring the broth and making matters worse.

Cheers

Daz
Daz,Can I ask why you never contacted the buyer and explained to him you had problems with the transaction ?

Why have you made no contact with him until this thread appeared on here ?

No, this does not have anything to do with you it has no bearing on you. I have my reasons, they are private I have discussed them with Adrien and have asked him not to divulge those reasons as they are of a very personal nature. He's agreed not to.

Ask yourself this, other than pure morbid curiosity why on earth do you need to know about or involve yourself with this issue?

Fair enough mate,i'll make sure I never buy anything from you then and i'll make sure other people on here are aware of how you conduct business !

You haven't done anything to make yourself look innocent have you ?

If you truly did have reasons of a personal nature for taking over £2000 from someone and then not sending them the parts, why did you not contact them and explain all that to them ?

Whether it has anything to do with me or not, from my point of view it looks like you tried to rip someone off and are now trying to get out of it.

That's just how you've made it look with your comments and attitiude on here.

I dont know Daz personally so cannot comment properly but this thread was started 3 weeks ago so this thread didnt really have anything to do with Daz contacting the OP in the last couple of days.

Daz clearly has a very personal reason for the delay in the trade of goods and it would be wrong to ask anymore. If the OP was just getting fcuked about then the OP would have said, but he seems happy about the situation now.

I have to say I also agree with this, as it wont help his business.
The personal reason would have had to have been something really horiffic, ie in hospital having legs amputated or simillar.

I don't know why but you all appear to think that my business is trading in Scooby parts and that people on here are my customers.

I've sold stuff on here to a) clear out my garage.
b) to raise some funds to put towards my on going project.

I'm not a parts trader, I don't repair or tune anyone's car other than my own.

I work in I.T for a living, I have nothing to do with the motor trade!!!

I will not justify my position anymore. But the issue will be resolved and it will be to Adrien's liking and favour.

Incedently if I was going to rip someone off I wouldn't be trying to defend myself, I would use an account other than one I have had for 8 years and all my projects threads are written with. I would also not give a toss what any of you think.

That's not the case here. I'm gutted that i'm being regarded this way. If any of you took the time to read my projects threads you'll see that I like to be as helpful as I possibly can to scoobynet members.
I'm an utter impreza enthusiast and hopefully once all of this is resolved I be regarded as such again.

One thing is for sure despite being a member on here for 8 years and having countless problem free transactions I'll not be trying to sell any parts in the future its just not worth the hassle if they go wrong for whatever reason.

Thanks

Daz

Hi again,
Daz gave me his reasons and I understood.
The first question I asked myself after one month and half was : is he still alive ?!?
That's why I asked in this thread some news from Daz.
Now Daz and I are in contact and we will find a solution.
Thanks for all and I'll keep you updated of the end of this story !

Thanks

Daz

I didn't say that you were a parts trader,I was simply referring to the way that you have done business with the parts you have sold

You don't need to justify you're position any further,it's quite clear from you're attitude how you regard people who are interested to see the outcome from what looked like another scam from a fellow SN member !

If you say that you are resolving the situation with the person who you sold the parts to and they are happy with that, then why not just explain that without all the attitude ?

Showing interest is one thing, stirring the broth when things are being resolved by the parties concerned is another.

I've admitted the fact I'm in the wrong, I've also said I'll sort the issue. Shouldn't that be the end of the matter??

But I see you like to keeps things stirred up and bubbling away. Each to their own. The main thing is the matter is being resolved thats of the agreement to those directly involved.

What's pissed me off is the amount of people jumping to conclusions and getting involved when they dont know the facts and even after a solution has been worked out are still spouting off. Especially Dan who says he's one of my "victims" where I can honestly hand on heart say I have never sold anything to the chap. I have Pm'd him to give me details of this issue but so far have not had a reply or a retraction.

I'm in no way trying to stir things !!

Have you not thought that people might be getting involved because there has been quite a few scammers on here and the situation with you and the buyer sounded very dodgy, especially with the amount of money concerned ?

I've followed this thread and was drawing my own conclusions, but not commenting, however....I feel I have to agree with Daz and say that the transaction was between him and his buyer.....for any of us to pass comment without knowing the full facts behind the issue would be wrong.

Daz obviously had his reasons for things going as they have and he seems to have sorted it with the buyer.....all happy now eh?

I've seen quite a few posts by Daz and he seems to be (as he say) a genuine enthusiast.

I don't know him so I'm not kissing ****.......even if he is a 8 foot tall, SAS cage fighter who can break everyone's neck in 27 places using only his little toe

I don't think he was stirring, he was just asking the questions everyone else was thinking.

The facts are:

No response from you to the buyer for months.
Thread appears on scoobynet
You then appear

You have to admit that it doesn't look good. I'm glad it has been sorted but it's just a shame it took a thread like this to do so.

Daz should refund the guy until he is ready to send the gearbox..

It is not acceptable,Whatever the excuse to keep £2000 of somebodies money for 3 months and not resolve the issue..

Lets have it right..You could put the gearbox in your car and drive to France, drop it off at the guys brothers and it would all be over..

It would cost in fuel and ferry/chunnel costs, but its little to pay to keep the buyer happy..

He has waited more than enough..If it was a couple of hundred quid, this laxidazical attitude could be expected..But 2 grand!!

I would have had him in court..

As some of you know, i had a problem with kart_Man who knowingly tried to decieve me. But with the help of people on SCNET, pointing me in the right direction the matter was resolved eventually. SCNET should be a place where you can trust other netters but unfortunatley it's not. At least Davies has eventually come on here and admitted he was at fault and he has seemingly resolved the situation now. All the same it is BAD custom, to take someones money and then dissapear untill you are forced out, by other netters, REGARDLESS of what your personnal situation is. I really don't think you can really trust anyone on here, unless you know them personally.

Hi

i'm Adrien's friend from Reunion island, what is clear is that it's difficult to trust some body on the net, that's why we make a deal with a member of a forum ( SNET, 22B... ). buy something very expensive mean that we have to trust some body we don't know and the trust is more important as far we are from you guys from United Kingdom...
it is very very disapointing to have no news from the seller, we don't trust anymore and bad things appear on your mind
Adrien decide to ask some help to people from this forum, just ask and not tell every body that daz -davies is a no trust man. daz-davies knows that Adrien is pretty kind with his thread and pm. with regards is the best way to have this deal done ASAP
i don't know what happened to daz-davies, i hope nothing irreversible... but i hope that Adrien will not wait any longer for his gear box. more we wait, more without news... more we are disapointing
i want also to thanks you guys ( member of this forum ) for helping and your advise... thank you so much

note : sorry for my english, i'm french and try to be better lol
