Moley - I'll give you a call before I renew as it's not until December. I read my previous post and it sounds a little curt - it wasn't supposed to be - just having methodically completed the questionaire online and then pushing the button only to get the 'fail buzzer' frustrated me
I suppose as I insure all three cars with Direct Line and have been with them for donkey's years it has made a difference in premium

Been with KM for 3 years now but "A Plan" shattered them by £150 this year. Did give you a try Moley, still its aggressive competitveness that keeps you so competitive I suppose! Have a chat next year though at renewal as always had good service with KM.

Mate - if Gary can't beat your quote with Direct Line I'd be VERY surprised. I was with Privelege and he knocked over £150 off what I was paying. Just make sure you call him

The main thing to check on insurance is the pay outs,The premium is very important yes but hey if you get say tesco pay out 6k on a 8k car and then moley who pays out top prices on many occassions more than the cars value and this is through exsperience not just here say so if you saving £100 with one company are you getting full benefit of a company that deals with our cars every minute of the day like keith m does .....

Hmmmm think you will find that it wont be Keith Michaels "the intermediatery" who will be paying out, rather the insurance company who they broke the product on the behalf of, albeit im sure Moley would do his bit to support the fellow scoobynetters claim, but its finally down then to the individual assessor at the end of the day, who says what £££ you get for your add on bits of carbon and fibre glass!!

Well yes thus is true, didnt mean them paying out what im saying is they use the best companies ie highway ect and they know all about mods ect use another company mention md turbo and ppg box and they will think your on about a holliday in cyprus lmaolmao, so the cheapest in my mind isnt the allways the best

Interesting.

I have two Scoobs and have asked Gary to quote me before, but never had any response.

One of them is up for renewal and I will try again however, just to make sure.

Can't fault A-Plan however, fantastic at responding to an accident, no effort bar an initial phone call from me, even received my excess cheque in lightning speed (3 months) even though the whole matter was in dispute (other driver deliberately drove into me and so on)

KM would have to do well to beat that service.

Will update you on how I get on.

Got through to Gary's colleague the other day, but the quote was considerably more than my renewal with A-Plan, so will stick with them.

At least I can say I tried.

Another vote for Gary - managed to beat all quotes (if only by a small margin )

Now to start thinking about track day insurance...
