I got one of them label printers that prints on white tape.
Pretty sure its 9.5mm tape. Can run a couple off for you and post next week if you like. Can't imagine there being that much more to them then that.

Lol Micky I got round to the h of mph on the standard 160mph UK clock set but I don't think my ring would deal with 280mph

Ian, I think you should be able to swap the speedometer over, you would need to swap the whole unit, not just the fascia I would imagine.

It will give you something to do when you've opened your presents tomorrow, mate.

Steve has done loads of work to improve the gas flow, he said mine were some of the worse he had seen...super! He's knows my target is 500\500 or thereabouts so everything is being optimised to make that at modest boost

I've sorted some rotated pipework out now too so will be running a GT30

Going to pick up the DCCD centre diff and transfer case next week so once they have been shipped up to GR Performance gearbox can finally be built...well if Banny has stopped hogging all of Gazza's time

Engine build is going well, just need to source an oil squirter as one of mine is jammed open for the bottom end. Heads are now ready to be assembled, hope to have some pics in the near future from Mo

New target is to do some of the running in miles on a trip up to Markam 30-130 day...we shall see how that goes!

 

Hi Ian looking very good this diff brace,similar Sytec filter we are want use for Swirl pot,but we are decide don't go with Swirl pot setup...

DCCD transfer case,wish we are know on start we would go too with DCCD transfer case.

Thanks Jura The swirl pot set up is all going to sit in the engine bay, had fuel cut issues a few times on both track and road so want to take the chance to eliminate that horrible experience.

Still have to sort out the drop gears on my P1 diff for the DCCD so at least you did yours the less painful way

 

Got a few more bits sorted; DCCD 752 box as I need the centre diff and transfer case, 3.9 Sport rear diff and some RCM ceramic coated pipework

Diff swap today; I need to remove the plated LSD from my P1 diff and put it in the Sport diff to use the 3.9 final drive...

Probably been better idea to drain it before sending

P1 diff came apart with no issues and here is the important bit


Shame the Sport diff didn't...one of the bolts that hold the side plates on snapped, so will be off to weld a nut on it some time this week. You can see the wafer thin OE Sport diff in the background too.

 

Nice to see progress on yours too Ian,hope so will be ready for summer(i mean this summer)

I'll do my best

 

Last few bits brought for the engine now; gasket set for the heads, newage cam timing trigger (thanks to Cathy at Advanced Automotive), misc seals/gaskets for the bottom end, a 12mm Cossie oil pump and a replacement oil squirter as one was stuck open (thanks to Mr Forrest).

Mo has completed the bottom end dummy build and ordered the ACL Race bearings so ready to go...bar one final clean and me finding the oil and water pump fixings I put somewhere.

Supertech one piece valves also paid for, head work is done bar drilling them out for the 14mm headstuds.

Centre diff and transfer case now separated from the 752 'box and wrapped up to wait for my PPG 'box. Gazza has been busy with Bannys' and MattRs' beasts but they are both running bar final maps so hopefully my 'box will be built in the very near future. He is also helping me out with the last two connectors I need for my AVCS loom...off his old Evo no less

A bit of scope creep going on just for a change...can you guess where this is going; RA dash with a cubby hole instead of the airbag arrived today;

I personally would get a different fuel filter, I had a Sytec one which looked identical to yours with a paper element pre rails. When mapping after 500 miles or so with a brand new Sytec filter, Andy F mentioned at the top end, when he added fuel the results were not as expected, probably due to the small size not being able to cope at full flow when even slightly blocked up. He suggested replacing it. My next visit to Andy was another 500 miles later, but this time with an OEM fuel filter, this time he mentioned that when he added fuel it did what he expected.

 

Cheers Abbas...there was quite an interesting discusion on filters on 22B; around the filter element size and type. Andy did mention 'bling' filters versus the OE in a slightly distantful tone too. I'm not going to be bleeding edge performance so I'm happy the Sytec should be man enough (and its a little easier to mount as I'm running a swirl pot in the engine bay), but have kept my OE just in case

 

A couple of bits done; clocks swapped over as I've sold the rare 10k rev limit clocks on



A trip to Roland Alsop today to drop some bits off with the infamous Motec Mo and take my new whip for its first sunshine drive...such a nice colour (hairdresser comments left at the door please)

Sent off my Type R gearset to Gaz at GR Performance too as I didn't have a half ton press to disassemble it with and he needs to replace a damaged selector before he builds the box

It's a hoot to drive, love the colour too it has a lovely pearl pop to it. It will look awesome to next the wagon when its painted too
