I'm ditching mine soon, and knocking the blanking plate out for a thermometer soon. So I'll have a spare if you want it.

There is a sign shop near me, where the bloke does stickers. He could match it if you did want to keep.

Would you just have it saying ALS?
Cheers Joey, I may take you up on the font offer, yeah just ALS...although I do have a dual probe temp thing to fit so I'll have a look at fitting it in the Bright switch position; great idea

Not happy with all the shiny stuff I've managed to acquire so went on a crackle black mission...just saved enough paint for the washer bottle I'm waiting for.

catch can

swirl pot

remote PS reservoir

PS elbow adapter.

Finally fitted the catch can holder which I made over a year ago and refitted the swirl pot.

I'll fit the PS remote reservoir once the engine is in to give myself some room to work in. Crackle black has made the bay look less after market I think

I'm glad that all my pipework is crackle-black to keep up with the current trend

Looking forward to seeing a picture of your whole engine bay when you put it back together

Cheers Jag and Stu...Jag's bay has had lots of attention over the last week or so but I've not seen your Stu...any pics?

I like to think I was at the forefront of the black crackle revolution when I did my last build and re-painted the IM...I'm sure I'll be corrected if my ego has the better of me

Gosh its been far too long again...more excuses; got distracted by a new edition. More on that in a bit I did actually manage to finish porting my headers and IM...far and away from a pro job but every little helps I guess. Just a couple of crap pics of the IM, will post some of the headers at a later date.

The reason for my distraction; got offered a really cheap ST170...so cheap I could sell my other Focus and essentially get a free car Life's never that simple unfortunately, so I picked it up and even though I was expecting a mess I got more than I bargained for. New rear disks and pads, new rear lambda, oil, oil filter, air filter and plugs needed to get it through the MOT. Not even sure what the liquid was in the cup holders but as it had been SORNed for eighteen months it must have been something fairly tough

Took me three days to sort the interior; seats out and steam cleaned. No fun. Exterior was a mess, dents and scratches on most corners and bl00dy awful wheels with the wrong size tyres. I brought some OE rims and got them painted by John at JP Polishing, top man highly recommended

Bit of a tart up after that with lots of silver t-cut, re-furbed wheels, new plates, rear tints and sun-strip (feels like driving in a goldfish bowl without them...), tinted rear lights and yellow front fogs.

Quicker than I expected and great handling, faster rack feels nice too...motivated me to get on with my proper car too so more updates to follow soon.
