How you setting your swilrpot up Ian? Iv completely forgot about / neglected mine and its something i kinda need to do.
Which ports you using for what? Clearly the bottom is fuel out, how about the rest?
My fuel out is -8 so might do -8 line all the way to the engine and -6 returns/breathers

Funny you should say that Jon, I knocked up a crappy diagram and checked with Zak I hadn't got anything wrong...
Close but no cigar ; the only changes I need to make are the in tank lift pump (Walbro in my case), feeds the swirl pot...the bottom port then feeds the external pump (Bosch 044 for me), which feeds the fuel rails via the inline filter.
I'm using -6AN fittings for my fuel system...it's gonna be very expensive

so your top port on the SP is the breather, breathing back to tank (in my case which used to go to carbon can, but is now vta in engine bay)
i read -6 stuff is good for 2.0 motors, but if im gonna go bigger capacity il just make sure and go -8 feeding the engine to make sure it gets enough, the returns can all be -6 etc. mind you its not going in yet, that will just put things back even further, i wana drive it now

not sure about the sizes tbh, I'm using the logic that the fuel rails are -6 so that should be good enough for the whole system. If i upgrade everything else tp -8 i'd still get a bottle neck at the crucial location...i guess that's why we need to run uprated FPR's...
there is of course the chance i'm spouting random BS...but that all makes sense to me. happy to be corrected though

ah right didnt know it dint need to breathe, assumed as the tank had a breather so should the swirl pot.
so its only going to return to tank if it fills to the top?
and 6 on your drawings fuel in to sp
and 7 is fuel to rails
and 8 is return to sp

brief update, been slightly delayed due to my red car trying to kill me with seized front brakes...so full new set up required for both sides...thank to Allen it was all gratis
New oil cooler has arrived, it's going to be much more straight forward to fit in the inner than the mocal...I aim to get that fitted, including the ducting this weekend. I also need to pick up a remote PS reservoir so I can mock everything up for when I refit the long engine.
