Cheers Jon

Well I'm going to be putting a long engine in within the next week or two...but it's going to be the old one! I'm going to use it to start mocking up everything I need to change to run a reversed IM.

So back to your question; March I reckon

Alright Brent

Been nibbling for the last few weeks while I decide whether to rotate my IM...I think I've decided now !

I have started to remove the front sub frame, Zak is going to weld the origional wishbone mounting points up and then drill some new ones higher up. (Hat will improve the roll centre and should keep the car flatter through the turns. I just wish I'd taken it off before I refitted thge steering rack

Nice mate. are you reversing or not, the hassle is not worth it imo, while you are modding, might as well do it while its off the road!, trick to say the least!

I think i'm going to...I quite like the idea of making up the brackets and tensioner. Probably makes me a glutton for punishment though

lol I think its a done deal, what I'm struggling with is whether to flip my front mount core to reduce the pipe work further...that looks like a troublesome job

Aram, it's maily cost thats putting me off the custom core route

I hope to have a decent bit of kit by the end of the day that I plan to use for reversing the IM

I have a standard HKS fmic at present, I was planning on buying a Hybred core and making up my own pipework, but then this came along, am waiting for some additional pics before I buy it though;

You can buy a core like that and put it in upside down perhaps, opening up.
Then you only have to fabricate the piping, that could reduce cost.

Well I've gone and brought the monster HKS thing so wil drop the bumper and remove the old core and see what I can see...ideally I'll run it upside down and as you can see from the pics the end caps do point upwards which should help. I'll not beat myself up if it looks like to much of a pita though.

Fitted, interesting run for the TB side...

Finished refurbished bits, they look pretty good.

This one's for you Matt; my old parallel set up, let me know when you want to pop round

I'll be keeping it for when I get mine

Will probably run a hybrid of the two HKS systems before I got twisted, that way I shouldn't have to have a pipe fabricated that is only temporary
