Cheers Jon, we've been there five years and have three main lines; gay line a 22pack (first set in first pic), main line a 10 pack and the injury line an 8pack...lots of other stuff like the big dirt volcano line which runs into a big berm (second pic).

I'm going to guess a 24" jump bike?

not too shaby, I've got one of my friends hardtail DMR for bombing down hills...got a lot more time for push bikes than cars

no worries about the off topic, we will have to be going some to compete with the banter on that thread

I have a few nice bikes mate, used to race trials in the 90's they are much easier to work on than bloomin cars!

Hi trails, do you by any chance have any pic's of your Prodrive Quickshift kit? ive just bought something claiming to be one but it looks no different to a standard linkage apart from the fact that it has a strange looking shortshift throw on it(short and chunky) and i just need to compare it to a origanal prodrive kit!

Cheers

Lee

You're up late

Funny you should say that Jon, after quite a lot of thought I've decided to put back my schedule a little...going for an early 2010. A few reasons; I'm putting a new kitchen in so need some cash for that but mostly because I have decided to revisit my fuelling system. The plan is to rip out all my perfectly good parralel standard fuel hose install and replace it with braided. Replace the fuel filter with an inline FuelLab filter and get a custom swirl pot made up to sit next to my battery. Quite a bit of expense there in the aeroquip fittings alone, without even thinking about the custom swirl pot

This is of course partially your fault for getting me thinking about the fuelling side...I hope you are happy now

Nice!!

Just a quick note on the braided lines... most of these do seep vapour, which isn't a problem under the bonnet but as you're installing a swirl pot and lines inside the car, the inside will smell of petrol fumes.

I'm going for Goodridge 811 series on mine which (apparently) do not seep, although they are also pretty pricey.

I've also looked at the Fuelab filter but apparently the OE item is the best to go for.. might be a problem connecting with all the braided lines but will let you know how it goes.

I would have spent around 2k on my fuel setup by the time it is finished .

was working mate! iv also lost a bit of interest in mine and put it back a bit, hardly had any time this past fortnight so just keep putting it off, having a real mare with the simtek trying to get clear instructions on it but the help iv had from simteks been dire, granted their busy but im sure it doenst take too long to write a quick mail back! then iv got suspension swap to think about and thats proving a toughie!

make sure you plan twice and order once with the aeroquip/braided line or it it will get expensive..my bill came in at well over £200 and that was without a swirl pot (gulp)

A few bits completed, extended the loom thanks to Schmitt for bringing round the mother of all crimpers round to do the job properly

The Cossie baffle plate sourced from Dynamix now he is running Zen's dry sump; thanks Duncan and thank you Si for picking it up This will complement my baffled sump perfectly.

Cut the battery tray out...got a bit gung-ho with it after breaking quite a few Dremel cutting disks and decided to use an angle grinder despite running out of cutting disks. Bad move, I cut through some of the front light loom. What a **** I've left the parts closest to the wing so I can remount the battery tray to it. Smoothed it off, under coated it...I just need to match the engine bay grey; any idea what that paint code would be anyone

Got my ponce on too; whenever I'm working on the car the first things I noticed were the corroded strut brace, brace cylinder support and rad fixings...I've cleaned them all up and painted them. I noticed the Gobstopper had cut out for the rad fixings so I stole the idea and did the same. Will get some more pics up when it's all be refitted.
