Rooney deserves some luck, he's not had much lately. It was a very workman like performance tonight, did the job and did it well. Rio was awesome and showed why he should be England captain IMHO

 

Another vote for Rio, brilliant tonight, fabulous goal from Ronaldo, I expected one up front, but I dont like it, 4-4-2 is our game showed when he changed the formation in the 2nd half, just let these guys play 4-4-2 they'll get results, fergie can be over cautious sometimes.

Apart from literally his first touch of the ball to chase it on the right wing - seemed like he had it under control and then flapped and lost it. Could have been a costly one that but he got away with it. But very good otherwise especially after losing his central defensive partner.

there was that and the high foot in the box but other than that I'm picking holes. I think the Italians will have been very impressed with his display. Lets hope Vidic is not as bad as I fear.

yeah i watched the highlights. they was very good in the first half but got complacent second half. didnt like being under the cosh at all and made lots of mistakes
