Almost 80,000 members ... how many post though?!

Its been up a week and over 100 have signed up and the website has had over 1000 viewings and thats just by posting on motoring forums.

Post this on as many forums as you can and see where we can go

 

I use the Opera browser (maybe IE doesnt have this problem) but it's not overly clear what you're asking them to do ... Need a bloody big red button on the top of the front page saying click here to support the cause ....or words to that affect ! And add a comment is fine but need a more obvious add your name here !

You know seems a lot of people on these other forums have seemed to have accepted the price of fuel and road tax is gonna keep rising, they moan about it but wont do anything or think nothing may come of it.

Maybe not but no harm in trying is there?

 

i can't understand why from the large amount of people who complain about it wouldn't want to do anything. i think its more of a case of people bottling it and backing out. but if there is alot of us then we al only have to do a very small thing to make a big difference

 

I totally agree.I've posted it on the RX-8 Owners Club site and the silence is deafening,i used to have an RX-8 and believe me they are affected as much as we are with this.

Must keep the faith though

 

Mate they're worse I believe - my friend with one of the first RX8's got less than 20mpg in his. And as for the RX7's - dear god heaven help em!

Because i usually do short runs to work and back during the week i used to only get 16-17 mpg!!

So was i until i had a look at some other owners forums - unbelievable some of the attitude you get.

Some sit on the fence,some just like to moan and do nothing and some are just plain old up their own **** and don't want to associate themselves with Subaru drivers!

Tell me about it, would have thought the response off pistonheads would have been better, maybe its in the wrong section

I suggest a slow convoy blocking all lanes. The Police will hear about this quickly once we're moving if they don't get wind of it in advance - no doubt they will arrest people that stop & block the road with this being more difficult (not impossible though) if convoy is slow moving. They may of course get ahead of the convoy, roadblock us, arrest people & start removing cars if the congestion is bad enough! No pain, no gain ...

Its crazy - being arrested for driving with the environment in mind, oh the irony!!

 

Ah, but if we're driving within the speed limit it's better for the environment? Isn't it?

 

As I also have an haulage company the taxation on everything to do with transport effects me in my business and at home I am glad there is people out there that still care and is prepared to do something about it and If I can make it down to london (depending on dates) I will be there. I can't believe that London have put a daily charge for wagons that don't have a euro 3 engine of £200.00 and all as we are trying to do is earn a living I will go now before I start getting carried away it just gets me so angry (how long before it reaches manchester, Birmingham etc?)

 

Do you know of any major trucking/haulage forums i can post this protest?

any help greatly appreciated.
