Add me to this one please, im fed up of getting screwed by the government.
I went over to florida last summmer they use the biggest petrol gobblers cheapest petrol and high emissions.,yet a small country like ours says we must be more eco friendly and reduce the amount of gases released into the air.This in turn costs the government to "do a study" on exhaust gases pass the cost onto us
Well i say lower petrol prices let the british public enjoy their hard earned money on what we want to.

Buy the biggest petrol guzzling car ever and stuff the ozone, hurry up with global warming im fed up being cold all the time.

You need to set a date maybe sometime near to when the petrol is due to go up was that Sept/Oct this year? Then lobby as many car groups as you can.

Added... just sorry I've only just seen this. They did the usual tricky thing in the last budget and offset the next (5p?) increase until September... the thinking being people by then will have forgotten about the budget and blame it on oil companies when the increase kicks in.

Nevermind go-slows. I'm all for an all out armed uprising. I think democracy sucks because it takes into account too many stupid people. Anyone behind me in wanting to don some combats, storm parliament and just take power with a bunch of guns? Vote General Dan! Scrap income tax! Scrap fuel duty! Get out of stupid wars we can't win! Cut red tape... benefit scroungers, greedy local councillors, public servants... oh wait, this kind of talk will get me arrested..

Thats sound like a good plan,

We'd need to raise funds as I doubt anybody will be willing to stump the money in the first place.

I can get stickers made easy enough, from sun strip style (easy removeable) or bumper stickers.

I could design this and get a price but my art work is very basic

I'll suggest this on Snet and see what the responce is.

Like you say, we need to work together on this and forget whos from what site driving which cars.

No thats sounds like a plan in itself, flags or banner at shows, will have to be the same design to be recognised, and we could even do a window/bumper sticker for individual use.

This could be an ongoing thing as well as a convoy but as said, funds would be the main problem.

I can get the stickers estimated, I ahev 4 sign art shop within the same estate so competition is high, prices quite low, dont know if anybody is interested in finding prices for banners/flags.

I'm sure SIDC & CS will contribute given time.

If large percentage of drivers don't use their cars for a day (or 2) that would hurt the government badly. They wouldn't get any tax at all in any way, which is probably gonna equate to millions of pounds. Surely they would miss it badly...

My only concern about the plan is this:

If it is a one off, it will cause chaos and be great, but when it's done then nothing will change. If you then said, we will be doing the same thing next week as well, and the week after that, and the week after that, they may start to listen.

Nothing will happen until it starts costing the government money.

lol - the Police here seem so useless they probably won't even notice there's a demonstration. A beemer convertible was stolen in our estate last week - this was after a neighbour had twice called the police to say people were fishing in people's letterboxes for keys! She saw it being stolen, rang the police and got put through to Nottingham!!? They turned up 20 minutes too late....

And guess what? Same people back last night - she phones the police and then said they wouldn't bother coming out unless these guys are actually stealing anything! Remind me again what the hell the Police in Thames Valley actually do nowadays except persecute us with speed cameras and protect the rights of villains over the innocent?

I know some guys in the Met who work damn hard at their jobs, but this sort of behaviour is giving the force a bad name!
