Fellas, just to reply to a few questions....
The line work only took 1hr 30mins
Im looking at having it a dark greenish colour with the flames (lol..they are there somewhere) orange/red/yellow........what do you think? any opinions appreciated
undecided as yet but gonna have some surrounding feature I think of some kind to fill in the space as it were

Bibi, thats a nice lil piece, I like things like that
Ginge I have to say thats rather nice Is it just the outside or going right round the inside ? Does look really nice though
Jimmy, really!! Thats bloody good going! As for colours sounds ok to me This is what im going for, roughly.
Like you have chosen too, a contrast is always good
As for the background, what are you thinking? A scene or just something like smoke? I went for the idea of black and grey to make the colours pop out more (when they get done lol)

No worries mate I love that pic too, the colours just pop so nicely, so would work great with black and grey behind it
Look forward to seeing what you go for in the end mate, WIP pics are a must. How long you reckoning for colouring? Are you going full colour or just highlights?

Well........... I had almost given up, but today it happened!
After 4 hours of my friends being tattoo'ed, time was found to get an hour in on mine.
1 hour only, but it was lovely to see the colour in the dragon start.
The piece on my friends calf is almost finished now, and another friend has just had a large panther piece started on his arm.
So for now, here is mine.

lol yes mate, VERY slowly, but loving the colour and detail put into it.
In fairness it was only about 45-50 mins actually colouring today.
Hoping to get a couple of hours in next session on the 28th. We have the whole day booked out.
Loving eddie's cover up though!

Im getting itchy for some more ink, I have a tribal on my chest, shoulder, arm and a name on my forearm, I need to come up with an idea for a red shaded phoenix to link the two together to get the start of what will be, hopefully, a sleeve.

lol na there is a difference there.... my tattoo WILL get finished... As for England.
Serious though, the head and a few other parts require far more time and detail. When the body gets started it will speed up a bit.
I reckon about 25-30 hours left though. If not a bit more, depending how fussy I get.
Doc, fire is usually a good link, or fire to water, with the phoenix fading from red towards blue..... If that makes sense. Joining the 2 pieces, or just fire between them both. Dont want to make it over complex.
My next piece once my koi leg is finished will also be my biggest yet, and last.
Cleaner pic of the dragon head in the meantime...

Cheers Jimmy, its getting there lol.
Someone has done a photoshop of how the next colours on the head could look. Not that it will get added for quite some time yet, but its definatly in the right direction.

Just got back from having a splash of ink on the old kebab leg.
So here it is.
No dramatic change, but nice to see it starting to change again.

What colour will you select for the largest lower flower ?
As you know I have no colours, just my black dustbin lids.
One on each shoulder almost identical, to give an idea of tattoo size they are 8 inches in dia.
They are Celtic shields and signify "Forever protected." They have worked well up to now.
Keep going..........
