I've been in a big one in Japan and that was like a minor shock in comparison but that's the first time I've ever been in one in this country. Must have been a big one for us.

Felt and heard in glos...chandelier shook and so did floor ... wondered WTF was going on!
Had a two litre bottle of water right beside me...water was wobbling for ages afterwards

We had it here at Castle Donington, i work for an Air freight company and we thought a plane had come down, but just had calls from wifes/ girlfriends one in Sheffield and one in Coventry saying they had felt it as well

Nah! Quakes are fun to experience, especially when you live in a zone prone to them, like NZ. You just never know if it's going to be "the big one" or not.
