Default I that wasn't an earthquake, I don't know what was!!!!!!

WOW! My whole house just shook really violently (old brick Victorian house).

I am in north Milton Keynes, lasted about 15 to 30 seconds, anyone else felt it?

Sat there happily reading away on t'internet and the house started shaking like it was on water!

I've now got one cat who's terrified of his own shadow! and another who is almost considering opening both eyes

Default Small Earthquake - Yorkshire????

Just lying in bed watching the box when the whole house had two small episodes of shaking. I've never felt anything like it - any one else experience this?
Ps - not been drinking

Default What was that?

Anyone else in the Midlands (Hinckley / Nuneaton area) just feel something (0100hrs GMT 270208)?

There was, what I initially thought hugely strong gust of wind out of nowhere, as the window being buffeted, but as it continued I realised it was the house that was moving. Everyone else in this house was woken up by it, so I'm not imagining it!

Has there been an Earthquake or a big explosion close by?????

Cardiff. I woke the GF to tell her. She doesn't believe me. I'm very excited and feel compelled to write in short sentences.

That must have been a big earthquake for it to have been felt so widely.

When I lived in Wellington, NZ, we used to get a small quake, 4-ish, at least once a week. Interesting feeling up nine floors in a 5.5-ish.
