Subaru Impreza Timeline photographs..
The classic is my absolute all time favourite car - I got nothing but love for it. Would pick it over any other car on the planet all day long.
The bug I nearly cried when I first saw the front end back then...
The blob grew on me over the years, now I own one.
The hawkeye was instant on me - no time needed.
The hatch.. well. For me it is not an Impreza, I would never buy one, never lust after one and I never get the funny feeling I get whenever I see any of the other models drive by or parked up. It still makes me a bit sad that the Impreza turned into that. Anyway...
The newest saloon - juries out.
All in all, since the days of Colin Mcrae on PS1 when I was 14/15 I have been fanatically obsessed and in love with Scoobies. The look, the sound, the feeling.
I would as I said already choose one any day over any other car on the planet in a heartbeat.

Spot on
Well exceopt mine would look like this:
1. Late classic (MY99)
2. Early classic (MY95)
3. Blobeye
4. Hawkeye
5. Bugeye
.
.
.
1006. Hatch
It is utterly bereft of any style whatsoever. The Impreza is and never has been a beautiful car, but they all looked purposeful until the hatch arrived which just looks like it was styled by a bunch of blind retarded baboons.

I have to be totally honest in that when I first saw the Hatch I thought it looked like the ******* child of a Kia Rio and a Ford Focus but the design has really grown on me, I prefer the current saloon shape to the hatch but I do like them both.
If you compare the Impreza hatch to the Evo hatch then there is no contest, as bad as you believe the Impreza hatch to be then it's a real looker when compared to the Evo hatch.
The design of any of the Impreza range has I believe always been 'purposed' rather than asthetically pleasing - I mean the classic has I believe never been the best looking car out there has it?
Time and markets move on, and perhaps Subaru no longer see the European market as important and will design a car that will please their major markets - has anyone seen the new Ford Focus?
What were Ford thinking with the current design - they are trying to appeal to as broad a range of customers in the world market as the R&D costs sky rocket they are trying to spread the costs across all their markets.

Now I prefer the original Focus to the current design, but I can see the need for Ford to market a 'world' car the same as Subaru have.
I may not agree with it but it would appear that a lot of the traditional Impreza owners are no longer important or relevant to Subaru as they have changed their 'core' market.
Oh, and by the way PSLewis and f1_fan I believe people, time and cars move on and perhaps it's about time you...

They are too attached to the "classic" sheds still
f1 gives me the impression of a shirley valentine husband type
"I always have egg and chips on a Tuesday"!
I don't care what impression I give you as have no time for people who are homophobic!
