Finally got some time to get organised for next sat, can't wait. Couple of questions:
1. Is anyone meeting up (maybe for breakfast) on the way to Blyton? I'm coming from the Lincoln direction.
2. Where is the closest filling station to fill up with premium?? I don't want to run low out at the track.
3. Has anyone booked the instruction at all?
Cheers

There's a Tesco with 99ron just off the m/way in Scunny, or a Shell a few miles closer to Blyton. I think they're highlighted on the maps in post 1
donaldmac - if coming from the lincoln direction then you are best filling up at shell on yarborough crescent in lincoln as that will be closest (look it up on shell website) Just means a small venture off the lincoln bypass (There is also a tesco that sells 99 but thats a bit further on around bypass)
Not sure on breakfast but there is that little chef at caneby corner (where we met up when you came a couple of years ago) I should be parking my car/trailer in my mates yard at hemswell cliff which is just across from there so you could follow me up if you wanted?

Was up at Rallydrive this morning as a mate of mine was testing his golf.
The long top bend before the home straight has always been a bit bumpy but there are some quite big pot-holes now.
He took me out for a quick spin and ended up misjudging that corner, hit one of these pot-holes, got the car very sideways and ended up mounting the bank on the inside of the corner! Luckily just damaged the fuel pump unit + we both have stiff necks!
Just thought I'd post up a warning in advance so that people can be a little more cautious.
Anyway, not long now!
See you all there, Dan

Getting there
WYIOC's
Leeds/Bradford area members will meet at The Brickworks, Driglington at 6.40am.
Wakefield/Castleford are members at The Trading Post at 7am.
The main rendezvous point for ALL attendees is at 7.30am at Ferrybridge Services.
And on to Blyton...
The route takes us along the M62 east to J35, M18 south to J5, M180 east (careful of the sCamera vans and over-zealous Plods) to J3 then right onto the A18, right onto the A159 and down to the Optimax station. Then straight down to Blyton and left onto the B1205.

A car rolled last time I was there and that was without potholes.
Just been on the phone to the garage and it looks unlikely the Porsche will be ready for Saturday
Went in for a fuel leak sorting which has turned in to an epic with new pipes having to come from Germany and the rear subframe and petrol tank having to be dropped to get the steel runs on place.
I am still holding onto the last threads of hope though, it could well be that I get a call and can pick it up last thing tomorrow.
Either way I will not be at the Ferrybridge meeting point, I will see people there if the car is done.

Hiya every one,
well feeling rather dishearten'd at the mow, iv been so looking forward to saturday for last 2 weeks but with being told that wasnt going to be put on list and to just turn up on the day, and after readin all the forum and post it looks like its really full, n the list is full, so it really looks like id never be abel to get on the track even if i did turn up
was so looking forward to being able to put ya foot down n not have worry about the cops n actually be able see what my scooby can do cuz i wont try it on the roads, but it just wouldnt be worth spending over £120 on insurance and full tank to travel 120 miles there just to sit and watch in the cold
i dont mind spending what ever money if could get on the track cuz it would be more than worth it
if just knew that i could get on id come no worries

To be honest that whole top bend could do with re-surfacing. I have been to the last 4 events with you guys and don't think they have really done any maintenace as such to the track? Im not too bothered about my 50p golf, just a bit more concerned for those running their pride-and-joys.

I have had confirmation my car will not be ready so if you speak to Dave (Corradoboy) you can possibly have my place. That is unless there are reserves higher up the reserve list than yourself.
As I said, speak to, PM or e-mail Corradoboy.
Possibly Sticky. I will make a decision in the morning. It depends on the weather, if I get chance to pick up and tax the Landy today and how Abbie is tomorrow (not been too good this week).
I am pissed off enough that the car isn't ready, am I going to be more pissed off being there knowing what could have been?

Kev's place and Dave Carters two places are now up for grabs. Kev's and one of Dave's deposits are paid, so I suggest reimbursing them at some point, but whoever wants them is welcome to them, just the balance to pay on the day. Or I suppose you could pay the full amount and I'll reimburse them
Anyway, 3 places up for grabs !!!! Fill yer boots

Whilst I'm talking tyres, everyone remember to add some pressure unless they want to be buying new tyres on Monday morning. In the Scoob I used to add 8-10psi in the fronts and 4-6 in the rears. You don't want this to happen to you
