Everytime I come to this I buckle a wheel on that hump . I'll be taking it a bit easier this year.

The small kerb style bumps don't really present any problems to a Pug. Just a slight knock and the strut top poking through the bonnet every time. Keep it nailed and you'll be fine.

Discovered last time that there are only 2 braking points round the whole track, the rest is just flat out or gearing down. Soooo much fun

I'll spend a half hour with her if she wants. As a qualified instructor, Blyton organisor, twice trained on Blyton by international rally driver and Rallydrive (Blyton) owner Howard Patterson, and veteran of 7 of the previous 8 (yes, I missed one of my own trackdays ) I managed to get a 13yo and 15yo lapping at 90mph in style last time, so your lass will be easy

Alternatively, the tuition from Rallydrive is excellent as many will testify, and if a few other Blyton newbies want to chip in and share it is well worth the cash (£150 split equally for 1/2 day tuition), but I'll need to know ASAP if I am to arrange an instructor.

Didn't know you'd missed one Dave. Does that mean there's only one of us who has done them all?

He's my mates dad, the lad who came with me to the last Blyton.

His dad wants to take his car on the track.

Yes i must admit,, hes good, he got our jordan going round like a dream, 80mph in some bits and with me in the car, the only thing is now he wants to drive my scoob and the pug...he even drives the transit. its well worth the money, then she can go out on her own later in day...cant wait now

Another suggestion. Would the track-car owners like to have some sessions just for their cars ? I'm thinking we could start another queue beside the normal one and when there's five ready and waiting, they take the next session and the overtaking rule could be relaxed This would remove the track-cars from the road-car sessions possibly making it a little safer and maybe more fun. Discuss !!!!

I say let's try it.

We've got to the point where there's now several track only cars taking part. It would be a shame to have some of these on the track at the same time and not have a little competitive edge. This can't happen when there's owner cars there so I think that's an excellent idea.

Blyton is evolving and we have to accommodate for it.

We can easily setup a second queue or have a 30 minute (or whatever) session every hour for track cars. I like the idea; but if we do we should have some pretty observant marshalling.

We've now got a couple of large flags (yellow and black) to use as aids, so we could easily have some people out checking.... and with the walkie talkies....

Dave. do you want to get together before Blyton and discuss the options?

We could do it at the EOM or before if you wish.

So to get this correct, what would class as a 'track only car'. Are these the cars that aren't road legal and arrive on a trailer?

The owner decides. If you choose to go out for a designated track-car session then you accept that the rules will be more relaxed with regards to overtaking and there is a higher chance of damage to the vehicle, hence taking it home on a trailer would be the preferred option. If you need to drive it home, think carefully about whether to go out during these sessions.
