Thanks for the ZoneAlert link. Program now downloaded & installed.
I accessed the BBS homepage just now & got a warning "The firewall has blocked Internet access to your computer (NetBIOS Name) from bbs.scoobynet.co.uk (195.166.79.208) (NetBIOS Name)."
This IP address translates as "Jiles Electronics Ltd".
Any idea who these people are?

I check the Whois link. The IP address comes from Adrian Sunderland of Griffin Internet.
Anything to do with Scoobynet?
BTW I got another Zone alarm from Scoobynet. It seems I get this each time I log on to Scoobynet. It does not happen with 22B BBS of any other site.

Nick,
If you compare the addresses of Jiles Electronics and Griffin Internet, they both have the same address and very similar phone numbers. I'd assume they are sister companies or have some other relationship and haven't updated the contact details on the IP Netblock information.
I believe the Scoobynet servers are hosted by Griffin Internet. However, it's probably best for SdB to clarify all this instead of me guessing.
I don't get an alert from ZA when accessing Scoobynet. What OS are you running?
Cheers,
Chris.

Win98SE, IE 5.5 SP1.
No alarm Saturday, but alarm on Sunday.
Maybe it's the Banner ads?
