True, but I think the 360 version is the best (having played all 3). The PC version is nice but requires a fairly hefty rig to get the best out of it, and I did notice some nasty slowdown on the PS3 version.
Theres no slowdown on the PS3 version at all. It's utterly identical to the 360 version. Both maintain a fairly reliable 60fps
Go take a look at Eurogamer for a more complete comparison.
Nope, because I wasn't the only one who saw it. Get a lot of enemies on the screen and the action jerked (frames dropped), and there was some nasty popup as well.
Not blaming the PS3, (I've seen similar things in games like Halo3 on the 360), but I still think the 360 version of COD4 is better.

.
There was something wrong with the PS3 then as far as I can tell. One of the immediate things that struck me about PS3 COD4 was how good the port was, compared to others, and how smooth everything is.
NFS Pro-Street on a PS3 in John Lewis looked terrible, so bad I though it was a PS2 game being played.
Tiger Woods Golf on the Xbox 360 has some very bad graphics, really annoying things that make me not want to play it, specifically the character and the way the arms disappear behind the clothes all the times.

Horses for courses lol - I thought TW on the 360 was much, much better than on the PS3
Well you've probably bought your 360 now, as you were talking about the old skool games, you can or will be able to download a lot of the original classic PS1 games from the PS3 site.

Maybe it was just the character I created, but I found the arms always popping behind the body/clothes and generally a bit of a distraction. The actual course and gameplay is OK.
