Sorry to dig up an old thread but I've not heard any more about ESL for 97/98 cars. Does anyone have any news?

This is the reply I got from ESL when I emailed them a couple of weeks ago and asked how long until the boards were ready.

"Here and working but the certification for road use is going to delay it for at least 2 months. Nothing we can do about it unfortunately."

It would but I would wait for the new board, it is in for certification and should be out before the year end."

ps. i picked up an apexi pfc and commander for my 97 car for 200quid second hand, cost effective IMO

any uk cars can fit the wrx maf/airbox pipe, injectors and such and get a reasonable hike in power "on the cheap" he went from 208bhp to 353bhp for less then 1000 quid

stonking result IMO

The usual suspects e.g. A'PEXi Power FC or the MAFless/dual map Simtek.

Simon Roe of www.jollygreenmonster.co.uk can travel, supply, fit and map it all. (Obviously you can get a cheap, second hand item beforehand if you wish).

Spoke (via email) to Andy this week and Software is being re-written for 1993-1996 to give a better GUI, then it will be rolled into the 1997/98 boards.
MAF'less will also be available.

Do you mean a 'new' ESL LIve board now ready to allow MAFless running?!

Do you currently supply and fit these new MAFless ones then, Simon? If not, when?

What price all fitted and mapped, etc.?

From what I could make out from Andy (ESL) the current 1993-1996 board can run MAFF'less and has recently been trial with success.
