looking at the power figures they are giving it looks like all they are doing is fitting some kind of FCD and uping the boost, i may be wrong but thats all SUPERCHIPS do for this model and they claim the same figures.
not a smart thing to do in my opinion!
lol @ this thread, blast from the past, i was just about to post about johnnygav and how he fitted the 97wrx ecu, injectors and a bigger turbo to his uk wagon and got a dam fine result
ps. i picked up an apexi pfc and commander for my 97 car for 200quid second hand, cost effective IMO
any uk cars can fit the wrx maf/airbox pipe, injectors and such and get a reasonable hike in power "on the cheap" he went from 208bhp to 353bhp for less then 1000 quid
Thought id dig up an old thread as i have a 98 jdm wrx that just had a vf24 and a full de-catted exhaust, and im looking for some kind of mapping ?? jeff.
Yea im after advice on what to have and who to fit it for me ......
The usual suspects e.g. A'PEXi Power FC or the MAFless/dual map Simtek.
Simon Roe of www.jollygreenmonster.co.uk can travel, supply, fit and map it all. (Obviously you can get a cheap, second hand item beforehand if you wish).

Spoke (via email) to Andy this week and Software is being re-written for 1993-1996 to give a better GUI, then it will be rolled into the 1997/98 boards.
MAF'less will also be available.
the 98 doesn't have an OBD2 socket.. its not OBD "2"
Simon
