think there was something similar on the diesel 07 plate passat i had back in april as a coutesy car. handbrake was just a button on the right hand side of the dash. had to fiddle with the clucth and footbrake if i remember correctly. good feature, but when your used to the simplicities of a subaru.... take you by shock

People sitting at lights with the foot on the footbrake is a real pet hate of mine , if i'm in the truck, although i dont like doing it , i drive up their ***** until i cant see their brakelights anymore. One time in the scoob i was behind a police traffic car at lights and he was sat there with his foot on the footbrake , his lights burning a hole in my head ,so i had my hands up on top of the wheel covering his lights from blinding me,but to him it must have looked like i was hiding my face as he proceeded to get out the car and question my actions. After a small lesson on hand brake use he apoligised and went back to his car slightly red faced.

At work, I use my hand brake if Im going to be stood for more than a few (15 at most) seconds without the opportunity to move. If there is a chance of moving then I will use the foot brake. It takes a lot longer to get a large vehicle into gear and let the air brake come off...
