Saw him play at the Bernebeu in a central midfield role. Plenty of tackles, a couple of mazy runs, and he played the last ten mins in a holding role after Zidane got sent off.
But off course you only need to be able to cross the ball to get all those Premiership, FA cup and that Champions League winners medals.

but as much as i hated it when he went to madrid, i have always respected him for keeping out of trouble. hes a genuine family man, and one of the best footballing roll models around. ok, little "fick", but that right foot of his is magical.

absolutley agree with you there Chocolate o Brian, so many people think bad of this fella...and for why....

David Beckham and his wife are completely obsessed with celebrity and money, I hardly think that makes him a good role model for children! 
They sell pictures of their wedding and children to OK/Hello magazines, they are constantly jetting across the world seeking publicity and leaving their kids behind, he had an affair with Rebecca Loos, he's wasted what was left of his football career to live in Hollywood and they surround themselves with the likes of Tom Cruise!
I must instruct my children to try to have a similar outlook on life.
