I find the NF a bit awkward to measure accurately when doing a partial fill up and usually end up just adding too much to be safe ! It would be a real step ahead if they would produce the bottle with a clear strip down the side.
I know some use a large syringe to measure it but you get enough funny looks as it is without giving your car an injection

Can you get the methanol easily enough in 5l cans? Then there would be no mixing/measuring, just fire it in.
Surely a slight price premium for buying less would be worth less hastle?!?

Was thinking of getting a 100ml measuring tube/cylinder, like the sort of things used in science classes in school then just measuring 30ml for every 10 litres of fuel.

If your car is not mapped for methanol you will not get the maximum benefits from using it.
The Optimum AFR is different to petrol and you can run more ignition advance which is the main reason for running methanol so you are wasting your time without a remap.

with NF i use the old bottles with pre messured amounts one for quarter of tank etc saves time when filling up.

what would 10% of methanol add bhp/torque wise to mine i know we was talking about methanol last time i was up there but with petrol prices as they are i'm thinking more about doing this now.
all mods are in my plus profile also

I was thinking more of getting smaller amounts in ready containers, so you buy it, stick it in the boot, pour it all in at fillup. So there's no mixing/measuring/messing.

Not read the whole thread but here is some thing I posted on another forum when a similary question popped up.
There is a large amount of misunderstanding floating around on the web about the use of alcohol as a automotive fuel. Most of it comes from people's lack of knowledge about Ethanol and Methanol. Methanol is is highly corrosive to Aluminium but aluminium can also suffer galvanic corrosion when you get into 85 percent ethanol range. Since the 70's most vehicles use an anodising process to reduce the issue and Fex-fuel vehicles also use rubber seals suitable for the task.
If you are wanting to run E85 then your primary concern should be if the fuel pump can supply enough fuel and if it's seals are compatible (remember petrol acts as a lubricant for your fuel pump so this is very important, newer multi-fuel pumps tend to have ceramic/composite seals) and the size of your injectors, as these will most likely need to be increased in size as they will need to supply 10-30% more fuel. Depending on the vehicle fuel economy with E85 ethanol is some 20 to 30 percent less than with petrol as gallon of E85 has only 72 percent of the energy that a gallon of petrol has.
hope this helps...

Would there be any point in using a 10% mix of methanol in my wrx with v-power.The only reason i ask is that v-power is 97 ron and my car is a 1994 wrx which is a import from japan,so am i right in saying that its mapped to use 100 ron fuel?
Would i get any gains from using it?
And would a 10% mix make the fuel like 100 ron super unleaded?
