Lol the national black police association officer (who is black) has been denounced for calling for more ethnic minorities to be searched.

 

Lol the black community are just plain dumb, look at all the recent shootings latley, its all by black youths, its allways the black youth that think its cool to have a gun, and will shoot over somthing as trivial as he disrepcted me.

The country would be a safer place is more black youths were stopped and searched.

Nothing racist at all involved in that, its jsut the sad state of our country at the moment.

 

We have probably 1000 blacks in Northern Ireland. We have the same amount of stabbings and shootings as everywhere else. It isn't black/aisian/white thing. It is working class thing. No respect for life or law. If your life is **** and can't get worse, why worry about the law and the irrelevant punishment it may hand out? - Get back to proper punishment and we may have some progress

I personally dont, maybe a couple of replies are shall we say regrettable but the poster is merely pointing out a report in a national newspaper of the findings and opinions of a scientist - whether you feel he is right or wrong is another issue.

 

I have often felt very sorry for Africans, and their continual suffering (particuarly at their own countrymens hands). I even had a chat with one out on Kenya about why he was working for peanuts for this Swiss guy, rather than running the company himself, in his own country. The ambivalence was staggering.

It was also interesting to watch the Millionaires helping out in Africa on CH4 recently. They werent doing anything particularly clever - storing rainwater so the villagers could avoid a 4 mile daily walk for water was one example - so dunno why they cant help themselves a bit more.

I dont think it is anything to do with intelligence though, more to do with motivation and drive.

What is intelligence? It is only applicable to your environment. Does being able to add up make you intelligent? Or get a high IQ score? In a western culture, yes. In the African plains I should imagine it doesn't matter a jot whether shape A B C or D is the odd one out.

I know this, any one writing in this thread would be ****ed in the African environment.

As many have said, intelligence is a product of environment. If you a deprived black child from an inner city school, of course you aren't going to be as intelligent (in academic terms) as a white Harrow grad.


To suggest that any one race is more intelligent than the other is quite patently bollocks.

 

I did not say it is racist as such, but I do think it is wrong to accuse people of being less intelligent because of their appearance, despite all the scientific theories. I believe it is offensive to the people in question and that the subject should be avoided for that very reason if nothing else. I remember the ***** produced a list of profiles of people's appearance with the corresponding list of their assumed intelligence and consequential worth to the world in general.

I also do not believe the report anyway and I think that what Diesel said is the closest to the truth.

It would be like me saying that White males are just as strong physically in some sports i.e. heavyweight boxong or 100 metre running - when plainly they are not.

maybe you are correct, maybe the report is wrong - we (at work) meet loads of African customers, mainly Nigerians and some of these people are extremley well educated - and not fick like me

It is a product of environment, the muscle structure was make more dense due to the environment. Now, tell me, what environment encourages you to be less intelligent?

Because imo that heavyweight boxing and 100metre running tends to be more explosive in nature than shot putting or javalin throwing.

You do not need to be ultra lean in shot putting or javelin , where as 100 meters you need a strong thick set muscular frame and also carry a low (ish) bodyfat ratio to be competative

But, because they were, it must be true as what actually people 'say or do' has no bearing on the issue.

 

So you are saying that you need the opposite of a 100 metre runner to be a heavyweight boxer, then. I mean a ultra lean heavyweight Boxer would be ****e.

And what has explosivity got to do with it? Is that a muscle trait?

And where do long distance runners fit in, you know, the ones that are predominantly black ( less so with women).


I don't doubt for one second that muscle structure is different. I just dont see how this equates to intelligence.

I rather suspect that intelligence as measured by the Western world doesn't stack up when dealing with the third world, for example.

And then there is wisdom - is that the same as intelligence? Partly may be. I bet there are a few wise old African chiefs who, if they had been told a long story about the per-invasion Iraq situation, would have said "No my friends, keep well out of it" Perhaps a bit more "intelligent" than white Western leaders Just an example of course.

I spent a short time living in Africa and many completely uneducated locals could easily speak several languages even if they couldn't write which can only be put down to their environment. I guess our whitie kids could do the same if necessary? I heard a fascinating programme about street market urchins in S. America. They could run a busy stall where someone would buy several differently priced items and would instantly know exactly how much the lot cost and would give the correct change. But take them out of that noisy market environment and they could hardly add up. So given an IQ test they would probably fare pretty badly.

Did anyone mention black peoples' lack of swimming prowess? Is that down to muscular make up? dl
