Quote:-

"The third annual Comparisat study of UK customer service levels has placed high street chains Dixons (now branded Currys.digital) and Currys at the bottom of the list.

The survey found that poor service relegated the electrical retailers to the bottom of the chart but also found that they had the most unhappy customers in all of the survey.

The Comparisat study was conducted by UK market research agency, FDS. It interviewed 1,500 households about 36 top companies ranging from utilities and retailers to leading online stores and supermarkets.

The survey covers customer service levels, satisfaction with staff, quality, range, innovation, trust, loyalty, value for money and the complaint handling process.

Overall, and for the second year running, UK shoppers were unhappy with the level of customer service. However, the big change this time was that we are no longer going to put it up with it.

One in five surveyed admitted to having made an official complaint against a major organisation – up 10 per cent on 2005. Even more worrying for the offending organisations, almost one-third of people who complained reduced, or stopped using, that store or service.

Most criticism was reserved for energy utilities, which came bottom of the customer satisfaction chart by offering ‘poor value for money’.

On the bright side, online stores such as Amazon and Ebay surged ahead to second and third place in the overall survey rankings, indicating we are now a lot more comfortable with online shopping"

No wonder DSG Retail Ltd. are looking at a huge slowdown in sales ..... they are simply, amazingly, terrible at treating their Customers with any form of compassion or understanding at all .

John Lewis sales UP 6.4%

Currys sales DOWN 2%

Over the xmas period.

Good Customer Service feeds directly through to improved sales, take note or wither on the vine Currys!

link

Article from May 2006! Maybe things have improved since then.

It’s interesting to see a chart with two bottoms; “energy utility companies who come bottom of the Comparisat customer satisfaction chart.”, and “Electrical retailers like Currys and Dixons have been sent to the bottom of the chart …”. Maybe that’s what drew you to it in the first place

Pete, note there is a big difference between “Electrical retailers like Currys and Dixons” and your quote “has placed high street chains Dixons and Currys at the bottom of the list”.

Surprisingly “So who are the happiest customers? In general, it’s the over 55 age group …” So the rest of us are even unhappier than you

PS I have seen your link but doubt their interpretation is accurate.

The quote I gave was a direct word for word quotation, only the last paragraph were my words.

Still, bad Customer Service is BAD for business - I have been left amazed at the number of bad reports all over the Internet.

Do a Google on Currys Customer Service and you will never darken their doors again.

WOOOOHOOOOOOO!!!!!!

Another nail in the coffin of bad Customer Service - are you still watching, Currys?????

How much would it have cost you to have sorted out my problem?

Answer:- Nothing!!! You would have been supplied a replacement TV from LGE.

How high is the cost to be by dragging an elderly through the Courts?

Bad call Currys!

ZZZZZZ

I'm so bored of this.

Don't take yourself so seriously.

I didn't see your email.

ScoobyNet is not yours, to be shaped around your strange whims. The community has spoken, and will continue to do so.

You seem to think you're some kind of celebrity, special case. Well, I'm sorry, you're just not. You're simply one of hundreds of trolls we have on scoobynet from time to time. The only two differences with you are a) you seem more thick skinned to the fact that so many people don't want you here, and b) you really DO think you're different.

Please get this really straight.

ScoobyNet is a COMMUNITY, and your desperate attempts to be treated differently to every other member, will still not be tolerated any more than they ever have been.

I'm sure your fragile ego will necessitate you starting yet another thread about YOU, as you don't seem to be able to understand these really simple points :

1) You're not some special case that should be treated differently to everyone else.
2) If you troll, you will receive infractions for trolling. You do not have seperate rules.
3) If it is YOU they target, how come your "super secret" accounts also receive infractions aswell?

We're all tired of it. But I know that this won't stop you. So, we'll just carry on as we have been.

I see, someone else located the text, copied it, transferred it to another thread and then pasted it and posted it??

I don't think so - I'm guessing that YOU did it all yourself - wow, you are really clever

I have been racking my brains to figure out what defence will be thrown into the Court for Currys not responding to a Customer with faulty goods ...... I can't think of one. But, I guess their Solicitors are well versed in what works and what doesn't?

I think that should be automatically appended to every PSLewis post from now on, including those from any of his aliases, even "super secret" ones

Maybe they will present some legal loophole (they are probably quite clever at doing that), in say the way that you presented the case, that will make your challenge legally invalid and thrown out of court - and so avoiding them any hassle in actually answering the charges

...I doubt that this case is keeping them awake at night - they'll either lose £400 or so (new TV at cost price, and they won't care much about their reputation as it's so low anyway) or win in a very straightforward manner.

Out of curiosity what sort of mark up would an £800 TV have on it then? I assumed it was huge.

I'm guessing that a £800 TV retail costs Currys £400 and LGE make it for £150?

I may be wrong ..... and yes, they DID shout down the phone .... They were most annoyed when I said I will see them in Court

I cannot say what was siad but the fact they are ringing me at work says lots

They don't like it when a member of the public stands up against their bullying tactics and stands up for their rights ........ I know the law is on my side, and so do they

I am VERY surprised if they have a legal department that they let any colleague phone you - whether it be work or home. I am NOT doubting you do not misunderstand. I am stunned at their unprofessional attitude.

I think it was a member of their legal department ....... they sounded really cheesed off - imagine how many people they have to bully everyday, day in, day out, same crappy Customer Service right to the end!
