I could always push your wheelchair into court Pete, while I am using my arm crutch. Should do wonders for the sympathy vote!

Talk about Little Britain!

This thread is getting really dull now so I thought I'd liven it up with a bit of Christmas cheer. Happy Christmas everyone!

Post up you favourite Xmas smilies here to help this boring thread....

Went to the County Court today to ask a few questions - simple questions with a one word answer, like:-

"When do I file the paers, now or when a hearing date is set?"

Answer?

"We are not allowed to offer advice"

WTF!!!!????????

"I'll give you some leaflets"

"I have the leaflets, I just wanted someone to explain in person what happens when and what I need in place as these things have time restraints upon them"

"Sorry, cannot offer advice, cannot offer advice, cannot offer advice ...... "

At which point the Usher came in and replaced the batteries

The world is full of halfwits

Pete,

I have to agree with you, Currys really are a shower. I went in there last weekend and they wouldn't sell me a lamb bhuna! I mean FFS, with a name like "Currys" you would expect a minimum level of service!

(filing papers after the date is set You have to file papers in order to get a date. Just what were you planning on doing? Saying to the court you want to take someone to court, but not tell them why?)

Well, you see, after the claim goes in with a brief explaination of why - the defendant (Currys) may admit that they owe me a refund and agree to pay - no need to file papers then I reckon?

If they defend the action, then the papers are filed at the Court the case will be heard - maybe?

I do hate this wide page - who did it??

Once pixels have gone-do they ever recover?

I've been hoping and wishing that the pixel will die and go black ...... that would be no issue to me.

It's stopped flashing now, it's varying its intensity of bright green light - which is actually MORE annoying! I want it to just burn itself out and be gone!

I have tried taking a photo of it, but it's not that successful .... I could video it, but that would be analogue.

I'm going to try and take a picture of it - it should be ok .....

given a long enough exposure it will show well (obviously not flashing!)

thats where the video footage comes in.

Sit in front of the TV pete with your 20D (stick it on burst mode) and get a remote trigger and just sit back and keep your finger on the trigger till you fill up the CF card, put another in and keep going

That way you will have loads of pics and at least one or two of them will have the offending pixel in it

They will all have the pixel in it - it is never 'OFF' now ... just varies in intensity rapidly.

When will we get off this page of wide loads??

I thought they had widened the page to see if there was a faulty pixel!

Anyway, the pixie's with the fairy on the Christmas tree now, and the elves and the gnomes are running round getting the sleigh serviced [and Rudolph's doing just that with the reindeer but this is a family website] while the old Fat B*st*rd is giving Mother Christmas one as I type. So who's looking forward to Christmas with no telly?

Me for one - have you seen what's on? Or rather, whats NOT on. Two thirds of what the Beeb is showing are repeats for goodness sake. My licence is due for renewal in February: I think I'm going to just not bother.
