The tories may not reduce the tax on petrol, but they would certainly reduce it in many other areas. You can already thank them for reducing Inheritance Tax and they're not even in power yet!
..and how are you planning on spending the money you will save on your inheritance tax bill ?

If you still fill up then you are prepared to pay over £1 per litre so why are you moaning? They don't force you to buy it!
If people stopped buying it then the price would come down!

In what areas exactly? Other than a headline grabbing announcement on inheritance tax they haven't pledged a single tax cut. Also their sums on the inheritance tax pledge don't really add up so expect some modifications there before it gets implemented. Finally my point was about a poster's inference that by getting rid of Labour we would somehow have cheaper petrol. As far as I can see that is not the case.

As I said I am no fan of the current government, but blindly leaping over the fence and expecting the grass to be greener on the other side is not a good move.

Where are the barricades of a few years back? Have we become desensitised to it and see it as acceptable?
Yep, bend over and take it up the tail pipe or walk.
