We tried 18s but with 356mm so I cant see 17s with 330mm being an issue Theyre a very good wheel for brake clearance.

Question

How much greater is the clamping force (lbs/square inch or %age) of the front 8 pots with a 356mm disk compared to the 4 pot Brembo's on Sti's and also some sort of comparitive figure of a rear 6 pot setup with 330 mm disk compared to the 2 pot Rear Brembo setup?

Very keen on these since seeing them displayed at this years Scooby Shootout!
Oh, and recently joining the 400 bhp clan

Cheers,
Dave.

Wink

None of my bussiness lads, but i just wana make a wee point in favour of Godspeed brakes....I enquired last spring about a set of recon'd 4 pots for my impreza with Ian, and he gave me a price for a set in 'exchange' of my old calipers.
Aafter sending my payment of £xxx, I was very impressed to find that Ian sent me my calipers immediately after my cheque had cleared (the next day as promised!! ) and he even trusted me to return my old calipers AFTER the deal was done and i had got my new calipers, which i could have not bothered doing if i had been a dodgy dealer myself!! lol.

So i just wana point out here that ive had a good deal with Ian, and as im that impressed with his reliable service, im also waiting to get a few pound gathered up and im gona get the 335 kit off him for the front of my impreza too!!

Cheers

I dont know is the short answer, I dont have the faciltiies do gather such information in house and KSport havent done back to back tests like that. If you did the Scooby shootout then maybe your local? Either way we have just bought a Type RA with which to demo our products to Scooby owners so youre welcome to come and see how the car performs.

It will be at a number of meets and track days in the coming months You can then see how well they perform for yourself.

That would take some quantifying mate. I'm sure a real world demo would tell you much more as Bren says.

Bren its a shame the logo is not the same as the ksport website!

Is it ok to do that?

Sell something on the web that does not look the same?

The RB320 looks awesome on here with the old logo in orange.

We still have the odd older logo design calipers here if you are quick

The design has recently changed, we will be updating the website but we havent done so as yet.

Hey up Bren
Spoke to Andy last week about your new motor and you maybe removing the scoobyclinic brake kit, would be interested in this at the right price or a k sport kit.
Only problem is the car is on 18" ultralite es941 spec wheels, which are not the best for clearence. Wouldit be possible for you to find out if the brakes will clear the wheel?

Banny

Banny, I'm sure you can try your wheels on our car before we remove the brakes.

The 330 kit has fitted under most 17's we have tried, very few 17's wont work (OEM Civic are one that wont), They certainly fit under ultralite Atec with ~35 offset with plenty of clearance. The 356mm have eveb been fitted behind ultralite battle 17's, the calipers do hug the rotors very well.

We have the car here now, youre welcome to try your wheels over the Scooby Clinic brakes fitted. The Scooby Clinic brakes are available immediately, they cost £1410 just a few weeks ago so they wont be hugely cheap.
