Steve, You must admit that ISDN makes a hell of a difference over 56k though ? It may not be brilliant but at least you're back on the playing field albeit slighly lumpy.

Out of interest, what ISP is suppliying the bandwidth for the
rouge servers. If I know that then I can have a look into the best ISP's to use. I have isdn dialup numbers and accounts for most of the top bandwidth providers, e.g. level 3, UUnet, PSI net, Globix.

tbh norm i dont think much of isdn.
and if i had tried it b4 buying i probably would not have bought it.
still getting lag and ping spikes badly most of the time.

Steve, thats either got to be down to your ISP or your line, get the line checked out (again presumably) and/or try a different ISP.
The rest of us on ISDN seem to be ok most of the time, only occasionally get spikes and lag.
Stick with it, ok it's not ADSL but like you I cant get it yet either and have to put up with max 7k downloads.
Your CS stamina has gone up noticably since getting ISDN, you only get p'd off and leave every 20 mins now instead of the old 5 min 'ffs,nfw,lag' tirade
All good things come to those who wait......or those who're lucky enough to get DSL already [img]images/smilies/mad.gif[/img]

Its not rocket science, junk BT. If you play mainly on Rogue try freeserve.
It would seem you have struggled with BT for months, time to try another ISP ?
Everyone gets lag sometimes - I personally though BarrysWorld was worse for that last night than I've seen in a long time. Everybodies ping looked higher than normal and I was getting occasional lag. I was having viscious swings of form last night. a few rounds would go great then all of sudden I wouldn't be able to hit stationary barn doors. for a while on dust2, every single round I ran for about 15 secs then got shot everytime. very frustrating. 15mins C/S with about 1 min playing time. Still I stcuk with it (tempting though it was to nip off for a quick bbq) and had a blinder on survivor.

Freeserve use the Energis Network (LEEDS Based). Might be worth rining them and asking what other ISP's use there network, any that do would have good connection to Rouge.

Last nights session was one of the funniest ever.
Highlights:
1) Scoobs spraying his logo on the wall then having his blood splattered all over it (lmao)
2) Me telling Damaja that I was gonna throw a flash, I get a bullet in the head and drop the flash on Damaja's head, promptly blinding him.
3) The full machine gun team effort, absolutely superb.
4) Being called a cockney wan*** on a demon server.
I'm happy to say I am well and truley back into CS.
