i think identical to the Richard Burns one, as it shows
continuetiy
simple effective message
would look good everywhere on everycar.
It doesnt need to shout I MISS COLIN MCRAE, as anyone who doesnt realise its for colin mcrae it doesnt mean anything to, but people in the know will nod in respect.
My personal opinion is that the others are a bit crass, a bit 'in your face', a bit disrepectful to be honest.

guys..the RB one was perfect, because it was cut on a clear background you could put it anywhere. on the glass you just left it as a box. other people I have noticed cut around the sticker and sig of his sticker and placed it on the bodywork. that way you got the best of both worlds.

could the white background one be done on a single sheet of clear vinyl, so the signature doesnt have to be cut out, that way it doesnt matter too much if it is thin
That way if you reverse print them they can be made out of 'cling' vinyl for the inside of windows, and removed easily if needed without glue
just a thought as I have spent quite some time having various stickers of different types done in the past
My stickers on my car was all my own work
I like the designs, I wonder how one door panel size would look (as mine is rally stickered up to the 1998 Subaru '555' rally stickers) and I do need new door panel stickers

The thing about these is getting em to look right on a car. For example, that right there is a lovely design I think rob, I like it a lot, but if you put it on the boot of your car it actually would look pretty wrong I think? I think vinyl cut letters are the way to go. Classy. Simple. Job done.

Simonds, i know where you coming from. It would be ideal if you could get a graphics company to do the original one where its just transparent so the lettering reflects at night, like a luminated effect that reflects off lght so it shows up off the street lights etc. I`m sure the members wouldn`t mind paying a bit more for such a worthy cause.

Would have to say the clear would work best for windows etc.
People wont only put them on Subaru's.
I had the RB one on my green Golf for example.
Clear, see thru, but with the details on the inverted one imo.

I think that if there`s likely to be a sticker made in the future for Burns and Mcrae then there is nothing wrong with just the signature and his name, just like the RB ones. They`re simple and effective.

I have just sent an email to a graphics company asking if it would be possible to get the above style vinyl cut as that would suit everyone I think. If so then we can look at different colours for the lettering after. Will get back in touch tomorrow with any reply.
I know a lot of you don't like the above but what is stopping us getting a couple of different designs done, why stick to one as all proceeds are going to charity so the more sold the better

the photo banner would be to big/ flash/ expensive i think.
I like these!
Oh and if they're the same as the burns one it'll just look crass. they were individuals.

i would liked the signature to stand out more, but is difficult without having the signature as a pic on its own with no background in the first place.
perhaps better without the signature at all,and different font for the writing.and a smaller actual size.

Mr Footlong: if you want to weed (peel the unwanted vinyl) of over 5000 small labels then I would say it would take you a good month or so. Its not easy, mate!!!
When we released news of the RB stickers we had 3000 orders in 2 days, that took us 2 weeks to sort out purely on the sorting and postage.
========
Here's my input from the experience of doing the RB stickers.
1.
the reason for having the sticker as printed on clear vinyl is as the reason above, large volume can be produced fairly easily and extremely low labour required. - To cut the vinyl will take ages, then you have to remove all the unwanted vinyl and then cover it with an application tape then cut them out, this is all labour & time.
Printing is simply push a button and the machine prints and cuts them out - some1 just has to cut the labels up into indiviudal ones then
about 100 times quicker.
2.
Colours: in order to keep material costs down 1 vinyl and 1 colour is used which in turn doesnt require a high purchase price for you lot.
all these designs being submitted are lovely but to print 4 colour is again, more time consuming (do you want to wait a week for the tribute sticker?)and 4 times as expensive.
If there is some1 out there willing to print 4 colour labels then thats excelent.
I could go into the longs and shorts of it all but the above basically explains reasons for keeping it like the RB stickers.
