Just a thought... as Colin was awarded the MBE (Abbreviation for Member (of the Order) of the British Empire) and to be awarded such an honour, it only seems right to me that we should add this after his name on any sticker that we as a community decide on.

Do you think the same or not?

Agree with the MBE being left in...

so the fact that colin drove for other rally teams does not come into it, so why put the subaru logo in it.

hasnt the signature been done before, so that an easy cop out for a desiogn.

Nobody is deneying Colin drove for other teams but for the most of his career he drove a Subaru, lets not let this get out of hand we will have to decide on a style and put it to a vote!!!!!!!!!!!
Cheers

Slight variation on my first attempt.....

You could call the signature a 'cop out' for a design....but like.....it just looks good, you can't deny that. Plus it's kinda personal, like colin has signed it. I dunno

much improved... like this a lot. even the scots flag. but its it possible to be inverted? for windows or bodywork, ie bootlids?

totally agree, lets put our personal differences aside in this instance and try and agree on a design which :

1. Conveys the sentiments felt by all
2. Is simple yet carries the right information
3. Is the best to get printed (vinyl being the best option so far)
4. can be placed in various places on your car
5. is generic enough to get the message across without pertaining to one field

I think cost is not an issue in this matter, as I am sure most people would happily pay for a good design, if only by the reasons behind it.

well done mate... if it can be inverted (like andy says ), then I think we have the best design so far. The scots flag, whilst being a moot point, just feels right for some reason. yes he may have been the British world rally champion, but he was always a scot at heart and that with the MBE is a fitting look to the sticker

well between you two guys, I think we have the design.

If there are no objections, not withstanding a general poll, I think we should start getting these designs into production as soon as possible.

That looks good, but the signature is quite a thin scrawny thing to be cutting out of vinyl! It would be very delicate, and would need to get a vector file of the signature to be able to cut it. I could do it if I had a high enough quality jpeg of it, but the one I've got isn't really good enough to get an accurate contour. I work for a sign company by the way, incase you think I'm just pretending to know what I'm about lol

I have to agree this is the one, but in vinyl cut as opposed to a sticker it would look a lot more classier. Signature in Silver and written text in White and also in Black

I have had some decent graphics done by Tim@Scoobyparts I could speak to him tomorrow to see if this is possible.

agreed, the signature is very scrawny... suggestions, as a square block sticker would only be manageable on a window, not a bootlid/spoiler, which is where im considering it.

just noticed too, the richard burns stickers are 70x125mm in normal size, so the mcrae one would seem about that size?

ie as above, one on each side of a spoiler...

i think identical to the Richard Burns one, as it shows

continuetiy
simple effective message
would look good everywhere on everycar.

It doesnt need to shout I MISS COLIN MCRAE, as anyone who doesnt realise its for colin mcrae it doesnt mean anything to, but people in the know will nod in respect.

My personal opinion is that the others are a bit crass, a bit 'in your face', a bit disrepectful to be honest.

I know it includes the signature, which I said was scrawny, but just another idea for placement on the car......
