Hahso, I wasn't an expert on stickers so had no idea that a machine didn't do it or just my own hands if it was provided cut, but not cleaned. Once an image is decided there is nothing stopping me from going and getting a one off made myself is there?

Just a thought, but maybe we should approach sizer, because not only is he a sign writer, but he is an active member on ScoobyNet. Maybe, just maybe he could do some deal on the stickers.,Of course there are other people on here who are signwriters, just an idea thats all

I think that will be the general idea. Printed on clear vinyl, with the writing in either black or white, depending on whether you want it to be placed on the glass or on the bodywork. Obviously that means people with white or silver scoobs (other cars ) will plumb for the black on transparent and people with darker cars will go for the white. Also anyone wanting to place it on their glass, will probably go for the white.

I work for a sign company, and we get this problem quite often........you just mentioned printing on clear (which is fine) but having the text in either black or white. That's where the problem is, because most printers can't print white! We used to have a machine that could do it, but we got rid of it recently cuz it was only used like once a year or so. We're a small company tho, so I'm sure the big boys would have better stuff!
I am speaking to sizer right now and hopefully he will be along shortly to help out

Memorial Stickers - Colin McRae
I hope this is ok to post....
After reading a few posts about memorial stickers for the great Colin McRae, Robbie at Class A Custom Car Art, has asked me to post on here that he can get the following sticker made... (I know SwissTony had posted the picture, but wasn't sure if someone has offered to make them)
These will be on a clear vinyl with either white writing or black writing (choice is yours) they are 5" x 2 & 3/4" in size. There will be a small charge to cover costs, of £3.50 which will be for the sticker, postage or fitting and £1 of every sticker sold will go to a memorial fund.
Again, I hope no one is offended in me posting this, as I know there are a fair few graphic designers on here, but like I say, Robbie saw the poll about what sticker is best, and wants to do his bit for one of the greatest Rally Drivers around.
R.I.P Colin McRae - You will be sadly missed, but always remembered!

I would hope for the inside so that they will last, otherwise the sticker to remember him will fade faster than our memories (imo).
edit: I think you should have the blue bit blue, not sure if you were planning that from what you said

Yes, blue and white flag, and then the writing/signature will be in black or white, dependant on your car colour. I do see what you mean by the stickers lasting more on the inside but the problem with having the stickers to fit inside, is that a few Scooby driver's windows will be tinted, therefore, they will have to go on the outside. Also they are able to go on actually bodywork aswell.

anyway it seems someone else on SIDC has offered.I just hope for his sakes, he has understood the logistics of printing all these and is also on board with tghe idea of where the money should go.
we dont want someone printing all these without fully understanding how best to handle this.
