All these ideas are brilliant, convoys, meetings etc, etc.........................
We all have to remember that Colin McRae pretty much put Subaru on the world map in the 90's.

We probably need to put together a list of the counties and their respective clubs as I'm not sure how far Scoob, Impreza or Owners clubs go... (interesting work in itself!)
We may be able to do it top to bottom without issue.. but if it does have to split then the East to West would have to be dome or we could have parts where the route splits and rejoins at the next County down... (My paltry start and I'm not going to guess as getting it wrong may be a bit embarrassing..PLus some clubs may cross a few counties....)

I'm sure that us guys over in Worcester/Gloucester/Hereford area would gladdly take part.
I also work in IT, so if someone has a copy of the poster that is wanted, I can go about getting this sorted if needed.
I'll also put a link to this on the P1WOC forum.

The ideas are all amzing lads and truly worth the effort involved creating such an event.
Prodrive in Banbury or as close as feasibley possible should be the meeting place of any converging groups.
Lanark is not far from the main Scotland - England M74 so would be easily accessible for everyone North or South.
I know this idea may scare the hell out of the Southern based owners but it is the only viable idea that will cover everyone from Truro to Dornoch Head
An initial plan has been hatched of Leaving Lanark at 5am on the Sat morning and travelling down the M74/M6/A66/M1 with the final destination of Prodrive in Banbury. The convoy would gather groups from all areas at pre arranged service areas and eventually the convoy would arrive en masse at a campsite near to Prodrive. At the campsite there ould be much ale drunk in honour of the man, as he did like a good drink. With a gathering of Subarus to be held on the Sunday at the Prodrive complex* obviously subject to thier approval.
This would allow the hardcore people to do the whole convoy if they arrive in Lanark on the Fri night and also cater for those that just want to join a mass group of Subaru owners that simply want to pay respect on the Sun.
www.scottishscoobies.com .... part of the SIDC, are going ahead with this event and all details will be posted up here to save anyone having to sign up to SIDC just to take part

Please try not to rush this and give as much notice as possible, there is no way I want to miss the chance to show my respect with all the other scoobs but will be travelling from Belgium.....

There will be a National run/meet to remember this great man
The logistics of something like this are massive and will take some time to do properly.
The legend of a man that created the RBRelay is already dialling some numbers to see what can be created.
Thank you for your patience and understanding

Just to add to the thread, get someone to do some official sponsor sheets and you can get friends, family and work asscociates to sponsor you per mile as this could raise a lot of money for the chosen charity of the McRae family.
