Some people want it all in 1 box, some want the choice, they may want a console for games only, or so add when they wish.
My box is next to my pc so i dont need to buy wireless adapter, i dont wanna browse the web on my 360 i've got a pc, yes i wanna watch HD movies so i bought the player.
