I didn't think it actually stood for anything, Luxury EXecutive UnderStatement was another possibility...

Do you have a close association with Flash and his mates. You, like them, are very accomplished at telling us the facts which you would like to be true but that you know very well are a load of old cobblers.

Mercedes quality went down and they are now attempting to rectify that. BMW and lexus are slowly slipping year by year and I have the reports to prove it. BMW use plastic caging in their differentials. They never used to, some progress they have made there

LOL! From the dumkopf who stated "knowledge is power"

Dear oh dear, plastics have come on a long way and not just for Airfix kits. Some are more durable and better with heat than metals, lighter, etc so this is a real bad example is it not.

Next you will be telling me ceramic body armour will shatter if it gets dropped and steel would be much safer, if you wish to test this out take a steel tea tray, paint red circles on it with a red dot in the middle, strap it to your body, go to Afghanistan and ask for OBL and tell them you are gonna make a citizens arrest.

I hope to God (whichever one you believe in as i would not want to be branded a racist) you hit puberty soon and take an interest in something else other than SN, Masturbating would be a good start and try not to repress those feelings you have towards other men and the love of gladiator movies.

Except in my context the durability of current BMW differentials have gone down hill to the ones in the past,in fact if you look at a disassembled E90 3 Series differential it's obvious that it is far inferior from a durability standpoint to earlier differentials. The pinion bearing and oil capacity, in fact, has grown steadily smaller in each differential since the E30 3 Series. With the E90, BMW went from a far superior tapered roller bearing to an old fashioned ball bearing on the differential pinion -- and if that wasn't bad enough, they put it in a plastic bearing cage! And they eliminated the drain plug, so you can even fully drain the 0.25 quart of oil! (Even if you maintain the new diffs, many technicians think that plastic bearing cage is going to break anyway.)

I shall now await you to come back and say that im wrong about toyota/lexus and mercedes like you did earlier

Oh dear, time marches on as does technology.

Cannot comment on your specific examples as i do not spend much time hanging out with BMW technicians as i used to.

You commented on the use of plastics as leading to being part of a drop in quality.

Plastics are used in the manufacture of F1 (for example) engines and gearboxes so chances are they can last the course. Also used a lot in the manufacture of aircraft and if part fail on planes then it is usually not a good day out.

Your example still sucks

"Many technicians think that the bearing case wil fail" Lets see what happens then shall we. Just thinking something does not make it real mate!

Things getting smaller like pinions and oil capacity. - you just do not get it do oyu, technology at work with oils and materials.

You wil notice that computers and indeed mobiles (most things really) have got smaller over the last 20 years, it is due to improvements in technology, materials, etc that allows this.

I have actually spent a lot of time filming in a veritey of dealerships over ther last 15 years. BMW, Porshce, Mercedes, Audi, Jag, LR, Toyota, Volvo to name a few, most techs i met moan about one thing or another

AL - Observation - you seem a bit on the dim side TBH and it seems of little point to continue any sort of rational discussion.
(if proof was needed - the Lass needs a tapmon thread) https://www.scoobynet.com/non-scooby...e-tampons.html

TBH that's my last word on the subject.

Firstly whats a "tapmon"?

And secondly if anyones dim its you because that thread is actually a **** take of the "my lass wants a new hoover...." thread and I got the idea from druken bungle ****** comments. It was all about watching the "dim" bite, like yourself.

Good day

P.S as for comparing the plastics in the run of a mill family car to that of F1 and aerospace....what a joke
