Great day Bibo

Glad you're still smiling Simon (plenty of us wouldn't be )

Quite an amazing site, watching your car doing about 100-ish mph at a standstill. and to finally get to see the flames they were HUGE!

Got some great footage from "FloorCam" too.

Cant believe somebody stole my wooden spoon though.

Updated my spec above. The maxiumum power comes in at 5600 - realise now why I keep getting tunnel vision

Thanks Bibo for organising the event and ensuring smooth running on the day.

Despite the horrid weather it was a great day - I loved the sound of KEV Ds car - and Tinys car looks awesome.

I forgot to make a donation - so will do it online.

Thanks to EA for a professional and friendly venue.

Thank you all the guys with cameras and camcorders.

Apologies to eveyone about all the smoke. I thought it might be my tyres - but realise now it was the Methanol . (Bibo - you were rite about your TA CS gas experience ).

Thats my last event this year. Let the winter modifications start in ernest.

It never stops - but look at it as saving money plan -

Porsche 997 GT2 0-100 7.6 seconds £130,000 -
My impreza 0-100 7.1 seconds £25,000ish

You could always turn down the settings on The Turbonator.

Or switch to Slick40 instead of 50.

It was good to chat with you Sleeper about some of the amazing spec on your car. Hope the winter mods prove fruitful.

what a weekend
the tunnel run was the bees knees
nice one milamber and all the helpers
looking forward to the dvd bibo you got my footage
this was different
rolling road days are always a bit of a nervous moment
we arrived a bit late but only just missed yours bibo, sorry m8
got to see simon57, sorry for you m8
its what you always dread, glad you are sticking with it
then the problems with the rollers put me off
having only got my car 6 weeks ago
and with the promise of 500 bhp
i was feeling a bit anxious, jackie couldn't even watch
ended up with a 463 bhp which may seem poor
but
i have to agree with frays (mr tact)
the car itself makes me feel like i have stepped up from where i was
jake(my eldest)said phone them up dad and tell them you aint happy
but truth be told
i am happy
i gave my car plus 13.5k for 436 bhp and the biggest,
cheezyest grin this side of essex
so thanks bibo for dashing my hopes but making my day

budgie

btw,its not the figures
its the feeling

Wink

I really don't know were who ever got the idea that mine was a 2.0????

Its a 2.7 with the turbo in front of the front passenger wheel to get maximum air flow!!!

Runs 800-900 depending on if I use petrol or racing fuel but I find jack daniels keeps the knock level down?

Some of you should try it!

I just forgot to turn the boost up! But 280torke at 0.1 bar aint bad hay

No problem Simon. Glad to help. Just wish it had been under better circumstances.

Still onwards & upwards & keep up that positive attitude & then 2.5 here you go.

Sounds like a top day gutted I missed it !

Car is with ABW today so will hopefully sort any damage from a battery leak (rub back and paint).

Congrats to all for their figures... some impressive numbers in there.. Hopefully I'll be pushing for honours once the clutch and gearbox go in next time around .

top day guys.....

Si, i know you'll bounce back stronger and better than ever, with a big stupid grin back on your face!!! - again!!!

i was hoping for 280 on the rollers, but as Frayz has pointed out, it might be i am really pulling 280, or on the other hand might be 260.
i am really happy with the car as it is (seeing as its done a few miles and gets a good 80 miles a day use) reliability plays a big part of it all for me.

sleepers cars, was a demon, have to say

thanks as always for the friendliness and top banter, we now expect!!!

cheers bibo and little bibo for organising it all, and to EA for their services!!

Im also supprised Si's motor went the way it did.

Did the opperators use the det cans, wideband and a remote boost gauge?

If so theres no reason why Simons motor would still not be in one piece.

The only other way that motor could poo itself it it was unmonitored is basic component failure.

Component failure is highly unlikely and is more usually a result as opposed to a cause.

Id like to strip Si's engine for myself to be honest.

IIRC no monitoring methods were used in any of the cars that were run on the dyno

I Did notice tho that Zac sat in his car whilst on the rollers ( Something coming out of bonnet & in through passenger widow ?? Would this be his own monitoring equipment ?

Understand what you are saying but i have attended many (10+ Now ) in my 6 years of scooby ownership & i dot not remember any other r/r using monitoring equip , But i may be wrong

I think to be fair Frayz I have never seen any Rolling road operator run

det cans, wideband and a remote boost gauge
Although I am sure you will tell me otherwise
