Some new releases require a hardware upgrade , some are software only..
Your mapper will be able to tell you which ones require what...

For heavens sake, they will customise the dealer profiles to suit the dealer, no big "deal" really.

Think there are some slightly more important things need doing first though, having spent some time on this now. imho of course.

Baptism of fire coming up, looking forward to it.

Understand the venue for the dance has red walls/floor Alan so no one will notice ... lol, unless you think you are "royalty".

I seem to recall that there was a major row between Harvey and someone [ or two ] about all this Can't find the link tio refresh my memory though.

It is a great bit of kit and APi are still working our way through its capabilities and the potential it offers - AT THAT PRICE - is huge.

I'm sold on it.

Of course, without making a fuss of it, we've been using the Simteks for a year now, and loved them from day one. Of course, credit due to the "Johnny come Latelies" who have now realised what a great deal they are.

Yes I agree Alan, now that it has had a reasonable period in beta testing to prove its reliability, it certainly seems to have stirred interest at a higher level

I didn't name any names

The Simtek is running very well on the 22b, it is however a fairly std spec car.
The object was not to achieve maximum power from it as any ECU is likely to achieve a very similar figure but more to concentrate on driveability and throttle response, also to evaluate the ECU over a longer time period. I like to 'live' with any new ECU on my own transport for a while to really get to know it inside out.
Its a good excuse to buy a new car if nothing else

Sorry, JGM, no, it's more spiritually!
I think we're talking more on the astral plane, a place where the force is strong, where power is felt more than observed, where data is relative, and everything is thought of in 3D..

I wasn't bothered whether I was or wasn't included in that I was enjoying the banter..

Yes its quite amusing really, without making a big fuss of it some have been tuning Subarus for many years and simply welcome a new tool to use
Others seem to find that difficult to accept
