It comes with the anti lag option at around £200.00 if I recall . Although A/L is not for all engines, as it can dislodge exhaust cam shims with all the backfiring and l'd be very reluctant to install A/L on just any engine. Certainly not without a written waiver of "acceptance of consequences...."

Glad it is

To echo Davids sentiments, we have also been experimenting with launch control and can state with a good degree of confidence it is not compatible with 752 boxes. Whilst we haven't tried it on later models, I doubt the smart money would be on 754 boxes with repeated use. I would recommend a minimum of PPG and even then there would be no guarantees.

All bought from APi of course
Bacon Butties are a Saturday thing and mapping etc. here, is a Wednesday thing, so you'd probably have to plead a very good case. But then, if you can beat Pat Herborn to the front of the sandwich van queue there might be a few crumbs left.

I'm glad I've seen this thread, as I've had a simtec ecu fitted to my 94 import for nearly a year now, with anti lag (only for show purposes) as with continued use you need to be in a straight line as it takes the vaccuum from your brakes.....So you loose braking....not good on twisties....
This has restored my faith in Steve S.......

mine dosnt take that much from the brakes, are you only using the standard idle valve or jacked open throttle ? mine only makes the vacume (spelling?) go to about -5 psi thats with a gonzo pipe too (not sure that would make that much difference tho).

Yes there are potentially more upgrades coming
I have been in discussion with the designer to enhance the launch control and include full traction control. In addition to this we are looking at progressive nitrous control direct from the ECU, this will be primarily to give instant response from big turbos but could also be mapped in for use under power too for drag racing etc.
All credit to Andrew the designer here, I just throw the ideas at him !

Now if you would just stop feeding him all those softy Southerner ideas about limiting everything, us Northerners may be able to get the ideas implemented that actually make the cars go a bit faster

Now look, Steve Simpson says that unless us dealers can be nice to each other, there'll be blood on the walls at the annual Simtek dinner/dance!

Are any of these changes classed as 'new firmware releases' and hence FREE
or are/will some of them be classsed as firmware releases/ugrades - some at cost and some not ?
Many thanks in advance
Phil
