Cool

I think the KLF summed it up best with their 1989 smash hit...

YouTube - KLF - Kylie Said To Jason

When they said: 'I'm gonna leave this party now...'

Pop was dead, the underground had arrived.

Video Killed The Radio Star

Acclaimed by many as the 'perfect' pop record, even after all these years it stil holds it's own
Indeed not unlike our own Mr Ron Jeramy

One of the best songs of all time, never mind the 80s.
Donnie Darko reminded me of this one, In fact the soundtrack for this film is full of quality 80's tracks:

Never Tear Us Apart - INXS
Head Over Heels - Tears for Fears
Love Will Tear Us Apart - Joy Division
Killing Moon - Echo
Mad World - Gary Jules (Tears for Fears Cover)

Hey Bubba

Enough of this slagging off Sting........I happen to have quite an interest in him staying favourably in the public eye due a slight 'look a like' issue.......

PS You should see the reaction my covers band gets when we start playing Roxanne or Every Breath you Take.... priceless

Thought the 'vested' seemed ironic due to the body they gave me in the photo

Jesus... can you really sing that high? We do "Message in a Bottle" but I've had to transpose the key a whole tone down.

Does go down very well, though - hardly anybody covers the Police.

It did take me a lot longer to get it right (and it can still be a struggle if voice not warmed up) but as you say, worth it as folk seem to appreciate it

Luckily the other vocalist has a gruff deeper voice so the contrast can work well.....!!
