proper hoses m8 goodridge stainless
-6 mm
-8
-10
-12
also injector size
1/ they cost a lot of money
2/ the sytec hose end finishers are very neat and smart but expensive
3/ you cut your fingers to pieces cutting them
4/ they look the dogs bollocks
marcus removed all the old hoses and chucked them in the bin. dont worry about petrol its safe enough as long as engine is not hot and you have no sources of ignition/ handlight *** etc. not trying to be condesending but ive work all over the world and you would be surprised what some idiots do.
if you can afford the goodrige hoses. stand the pain go for it. if not try the sleeves i seem some that look really good
nearlly forgot make sure the clips are tight
cheers mick

gearbox is fine. noticed after a run it whines a little, but i dont think its anything to be concerned over. ive done around 600+ miles in the 9 days ive had her back, so hopefully will give her some beans soon, see how she gets a long. try a couple 3k launches on the new clutch, just to see what i have to play with now. nothing ott.
stainless hoses are the way forward by the way, much better than cheapo rubber.

Just like to say Mickyjeff, I've loved reading this thread and see the pics of the car coming on, it all looks amazing so far.
Look forward to the updated pics, and see what this alternator cover looks like

update
back in the garage today cold but must get on.
induction pipe back on ram jet i believe?
polished by r+s at manchester
played about with the pipes fits ok
fitting the rest of the interooler for the final time.
bloody tight with the new stainless pipes
keep the wrapping on for now
starting to look the part
4 70mm clips needed bloody run off
thats it intercooler is fit. oil cooler later on.
just the job looks great.
right next job battery is going in the boot. to make way for evo 6 PAS and the buddy club condeser.
im going to make all the templates for the brackets out of wood first to make it easy to adjust things as i go on
need a small bracket for the breather and another one for the PAS.
the one above is for the PAS tank
i will need to sort out some terminals in the engine bay.
the bracket will go around the fuse box. i hope to mount the condenser alongside.
last thing just check front panel fit around intercooler.
will include pics of alt cover from badass on sunday.
fits not bad just needs a bit more work. like everything else.
cheers mick

got started again
right back in the garage again. had to make a bracket to hold the evo 6 power steering tank. buddy club condenser.pos and neg battery posts, battery is in the boot, oil breather catch can. turned out a pain in the butt. considered many materials. but decided on wood treated with high temp paint and covered in 3M self adesive carbon mat.
basic shape cut out and catty to smooth the edges
its a two level unit all will be revealed, when getting sanded
smaller bracket underneath for the pas
sits nicely in the top bracket the buddy club condenser will go next to the fuse box
support bracket to help the with the breather unit
nearly finished the breather has to be moved further back because of the pipework. there is not a lot of room to play with.
next job is to cut the braket move the breather back. take it all off its all glued and screwed, needs rubbing down painting, the then carbon sheet putting on and it should look the dogs.
back in the garage tommorow to finish off. still waiting for funds to clear so i can get the rest of the parts mainly brakes, cant wait to fit them bad boys to this car
cheers mick

update
hi folks
not been on here for a while. been waiting for some funds to progress and we are moving house at the moment. which means no progress at all on the car greg and kieth at revolution dont worry i will be back to get the new brakes, wheels and tyres, varios engine parts etc. john at TSL i will get the motor down as soon as i can for you to sort the turbo and exhaust out. mr jolly green giant you wil get to map this animal before christmas this year. andy at AET turbos i will be up for that turbo and dash m8 hope you and ellie are ok. neil at EMB i will be over with the parts i want painting soon.
one big change is the charity the car will be suppporting. those who now me will know that gill my wife has had one primary and two secondry skin cancers, so the car is going to be used to raise monies for british cancer foundation, breast cancer, marie curie cancer charity and skin cancer awarness and will be stickered by the man himself sticky. with the charity logos and my sponsers on the car should make for an interesting scoob.
im also putting the back seats back in due to pressure from my two girls, so a lot of stuff will now go in the boot. one question for neil at emb or 911 maybe frayz,s at the essex boys. im fitting a sparco belt brace that runs behind the front seats attached at the b pillars. how can i stop the kids in the back smacking into it? can you fit 4 belt harnesses in the back is it legal. really interested to know. or any other solutions to the problem
sorry for the rant

hi andy
hi hope your both ok. as i say we are downsizing in the house department and the charity has changed. but i feel the care and support the peaple who work in the field of cancer are worthy of the support. some of the charities have great logos so the car will look great. trying to find a house with a big double garage/workshop and then gill has promised i can finish the scoob.
see ya both soon
