I hurd that other people where having the same or similar problems!

Am I being a tit or is something that needs a professional touch?

Wireless network........Connected
IP address.................Confirmed
DNS......................... Failed!!!!!

Its doing my head in cause there is probably a really easy fix!

 

Have you got the settings from your ISP?

That was the problem I had, as you need to make your router think its your original modem.

 

Your talking to a muppet here when it comes to a computer!

How do i get the settings from my ISP......... I know what that means though!

 

Who is you Internet service Provider? BT/Tiscali etc

Mind you your router is obviously working as your posting on here

What messages are you getting when you do a connection test on the xbox?

 

I'm with AOL (who by the way are cack!)

The message i'm getting up is "DNS failed" Unable to resolve the xbox diagnostic server DNS server name. Please verify the DNS settings for this network configuration.

I have no idea what that means or how to resolve it!

152.163.201.4.

into the dns settings on the connection test page

 

DNS is provided by the user's ISP..which is AOL.

do me a favour....do the following for me.....i will be here online waiting

go to start>>>>>>Run>>>type in cmd. hit enter or ok.

now type in the command line after your name eg..

C:\"ignore what ever is here" ipconfig /all

now hit enter.

copy and paste on to screen for me please
