I have the M3 DS Simply, and it's a cracker. Had the G6 Lite before hand, and that too is a great bit of kit. As people have said the M3 DS is basically exactly the same as th R4 cart. I've had no problems with the updates for the M3, and it can play videos on moonshell at the moment (as long as they are in .dpg format), as well as MP3's view jpg's etc. So with a 2 gig micro SD card in it you can have about 20 games on it and still have 1 gig of space for movies and music.

See my post near the begining of this thread for where I got the M3 DS from, great next day service and they done a 15% discount for buying 4 cards in 1 go (you don't know till you ask!)

I'm using Moonshell 1.71 stable and its pretty good, that version comes with the R4 v1.11 kernel. Video works well Only problem I've had is converting some files. Works out around 100Mb for around 25-30 mins.

Yeah, I'm using 1.71 moonshell too, the M3 is only up to 1.06 on the kernel at the mo but everything works and plays great so no complaints on that front. Do you use batch dpg for converting or another piece of software?

DJD, how are you converting video files?

you can fit between 40 and 70 games on 2gigs depending on rom size.
I have 60 on mine at the moment.

I'm just using the encoder that comes with the kernal package; dpgenc.exe I think it is from memory. Most files work well but some seem to fail when encoding, could just be errors in the video files though.

Batchdpg is good if you wanna convert more than one file and just leave the pc to do the work while you do other stuff. V3 is stable and works good.

Have a look on GBAtemp.net for all things DS related
