With an AWD car I find you can turn of the Stability control and TC and the car is still pretty docile compared to a rear wheel drive beast (TVR's!) I left ABS on because it's forgiving and at the mo it would be so easy for me to mess up a good lap by locking up.
92!
92!

Looking forward to lunch time now so I can give it a go with the wheel!
lolYep its with a wheel.
Edcase, with ABS off. I have found reducing the brake pressure under tuning slightly helps to stop the wheels locking up under heavy left foot braking.

Kudos to you then!
I find you can stop quicker/shorter distance if you don't have ABS on. It just takes a bit of gentle squeezing of the trigger (or toes for you wheel users).
I thought with time trials the performance damage was off? ok you can spin and knock your spoilers and stuff off but it didn't show up on the damage indicator? Certainly didn't for me last night when I kept going wide on that long sweeper (or getting that down hill S bend wrong) and smacking into the barrier!

Ben picked a very good track, the tiniest of mistakes and the lap is ruined, yet the urge to carry just that little bit more speed through the corners is just so tempting!

Is the car the No.1 guy used any quicker than the Audi though?
I'm not sure how much quicker I could go, with the Mugello challenge I think I could have gone faster with the TCS aid on but with this one, I don't think any of the aids would help my time.

Problem with my 360 is that once I set a fast time I have to end the race to upload it for fear of the thing freezing up and loosing the time. Thus I can't really [madonna]get into the grove[/madonna] so to speak.

I just can not do the last s bend and am the point of taking a hammer to the 360

I have turned it off and walked away and not sure when I will go back to it as it got me very very frustrated
Up until that last s bend I am taking over half a second off my time which would get into the 52's but that s bend kills my time every time and just can not get the right line or gear through it.

Tell me about it, i've done 130 laps of that circuit and can only get to within 1/10 of a second of my fastest time using the wheel and manual gears

52.622 now, had to lift at the top of the sweeper cause I was heading off line. Was in front of the fastest Audi at that point as well
Can't believe you've had the patience to do 130 laps mate!

Cheers fellas.
I still think someone might beat it, as I say I was a 10th up at the timecheck just before the long right-hander, so it's definitely do-able, but I am just happy to have topped a global leaderboard.
You definitely need to sort your setup out for this, mainly gearing, but also front downforce, slight rear bias on the power and a bit more front left negative camber.
I am off on holiday friday morning, so that will likely be my last crack at it as I'll be packing etc. so you have a double motivation of winning the challenge but also being no.1 in the world!
I am not back then til the 18th (on my mtb in the alps
) so whoever comes 2nd will have to choose the winner (of course, assuming someone doesn't pip me by then!).
