All my printed stuff is armourfended Matt,
Its just the little vinyls im worried about. And the fact that if its machined with the graphics on, when they finally come off the graphics will be ghosted in the paint.
Not really any beans to spill, just a few neat additions, nothing too noticeable

Little tiny update,
Took off my rear towing eye, bead blasted and then painted red. This should match my new front one well and have got a couple of "tow" graphics to suit too.
I quite like it

Will post some fitted pics tomorrow

Fitted that tow eye this morning and also did a pad change. I had to get the Pagids machined dispite them being made for my application, supposedly
Another job done

The one for the front is being custom made for me. Same as the Schroth ones which basically consists of a light weigh webbing strap that protrudes from the front of the car.
I have no choice but to run something like this as i have done away with the OEM bumper beam.
Similar to the one shown on the left in this pic.

No mate, it will be bolted to the front cross member and either sit behind the orginal towing eye cover or the bumper will have a little slot cut in it for the red strap to protrude out a few inches.

Some of you may remember me making the billet fire extingusher bracket that mounted on the front of my passenger seat.
Well at a Time Attack event a few weeks back i gave the bracket away to someone who needed it to pass scruteneering, i let em keep it.
So ive just made a new one, with a few nicer details, i'll fit it tomorrow.

Had visions of hit hanging from the bottom of the car , Like a pair of old soiled nickers caught up & dragging along

No real updates today...
Although i fitted a brand new set of wheel arch liners today of which i reinforced with 3M fibreglass fabric on the back of the weak areas.
Im also still not happy with how the filter on the APS intake fouls on the charge pipe. After comparing the filter with my previous AEM dryflow ive decided im gonna go back to the dryflow element. Its better constructed than the APS and is dry and not oiled. I much prefer the dry setup to the oiled APS element. Helps prevent MAF failure too.
So i contacted a guy i know that manufactures silicone hoses for the p[rototype car intustry and he is going to make me a bespok hose for me to connect the AEM filter to the APS intake.
The hose will also bend at 45 degrees and mount the filter in a nice big cavaty behind the foglight port hole.
Sweet

Got my intercooler back from the paintshop today, fitted it up and offered up the bumper too. Gotta have the bumper re done as we're not quite happy with the colour, but either way i cant fit it until the towing eye turns up.

Well not much of an update,
Remember the bespoke hose i wanted made? Well a superfast turn around from my buddy ensured it turned up today. So i set about fitting my intake filter.I had it made in 4 ply so is very rigid and has no chance of collapsing under boost.

Here you can see the 2 filters together the APS (left) and the AEM dryflow (right)

Now you can see how limited you are for space trying to get the APS to fit alongside the FMIC charge pipe.

And the reasons i didnt like the APS, internally it has no strengthening cage, where as the AEM does and it also has a bellmouth to aid flow (You cant see this bit im afraid)

I cut a small piece of 3.5" ally tube to couple the filter to the hose.

Here you can see the new filter tucked out of the way in the big cavity behind the foglight port.

Much better i think you will agree
Now cant wait to get my bumper bolted up

Graphics are cleaned with just my usual sealants and waxes from poorboys, clearkote, Megs and Collinite. Theres nothing i put on them especially.
I find that ordinary megs tech wax works quite nice.
