You might not be w*nkers in reality, but IMO your comments were unnecessary.

Frankly it doesn't bother me what others think... I've sought long and hard for this watch, seen a few in the flesh before buying mine and knew precisely what I was buying and why I was buying it. The LV version of the 16610 is very sought after, and rightly so, as I think it looks great and is a superb timepiece. Some 'special' bezels (thinking Pepsi here...) don't look great - I think this looks better than the original black.
You pays yer money, etc...
Round 2... ding ding....
Not my fave Rolex, but I can appreciate why you like it... definitely different with the green bezel.
I'm always surprised that people on a car forum give it the "what's the point of that" or "looks like a casio" chat. It's just the same kind of enthusiasm - pointless on one level, gratifying on others, and harmless. But without the depreciation.

Rolex Submariner 16610 LV
POA, says it all, ppl will pay good money not to be on the waiting lists.
You see how much a S/S Daytona is!!

Nah Daryl, I'm just smiling at the attitude of certain GMT owners that obviously wish they'd paid the extra and bought a Sub...

Very nice
Its not so much about the green bezel insert for me, but more the Maxi dial and the thicker hands which work well with the Sub - although the more I see them the more I like the insert colour
If only Rolex would add that dial and those hands to the regular SS sub date...
Had the chance of a GMT Anniversary recently - new case, maxi dial and big hands, but the two tone just didn't do it for me. Went with a Seadweller in the end (was on the waiting list for one) and got a very good trade in on my S/S Sub date.
You were lucky to pick one up straight from the dealer, although they are apparently easier to find in the USA. Big waiting list near me for LV Subs unless you go gray and pay £1k plus over the RRP.
I was lucky - but as I mentioned I've tried every Rolex dealer I've passed over the past 6-8 months and every one gave me the "No, sorry... try again" - a couple of weeks ago the Rolex dealer at Schiphol told me "Yes, we do still get them in now and again so keep trying" and when I asked "OK, help me out here, how often is 'now and again'?" got the reply "Well, we get one in every 3-4 months"
So - when I strolled in to my local dealer looking for something else completely, and then (as I was leaving) said "I don't suppose you ever see these LV Subs do you?", when the guy said he'd had one in THAT MORNING I just couldn't risk walking out without it...

I don't pay over list for anything - so that was never going to be an option - I'd resigned myself to searching constantly...
What about this watch? im very tempted, she looks gorgeous imo
