I'd use the GTI-6 engine if I didn't have so much cash sat in my Mi lump - more reliable, and quicker in the real world.
As for supercharging, have a read of this months Practical Performance Car - a 306 GTI-6 with supercharger and over 400bhp. It apparently grips like a rally car as well.
