On The Way Back From Snetterton...
Yes do it, name and shame their stupid t55spot *****.
Surely the SIDC requires its members to behave in a safe and responsible manner on the road and especially given the fact they were on the way back from an organised event (SIDC or not)?

Diablo, please read my post properly........ I would never obstruct a car that is pulling in on a safe manouever. If it's safe to go, I'll be the first! Don't think anyone should fall out over this on 'what-if' situations. I certainly avoid confrontations on the road - it's just not worth it. If you are in a long line of traffic and everybody left at least 2 seconds worth of gap then the roads would be at a standstill. If you think about it, this will encourage people to overtake when they can't really see, knowing that somewhere there will be a gap, one way or another. Any chance of a few comments from our resident policeman?

TVR
This is whom I recognised as the being the TO$$ER
Picture taken by GMAY

Thanks for pointing that out - problem (to them) is that it was a public place where the picture was taken & I own the pictures & I am aledging that a TVR similar (if not identical
) to the picture posted here was responsible for the action listed above...
I have removed part of the numberplate as it is not in anyones interest if some "public spirited" member of scoobynet causes damage to the car/owner in the spirit of retribution - DON'T DO THAT - THANKS BUT NO THANKS - I'm alive & he's still a to$$er...
However, there is still enough there for him to know that he is if he should see it...
(As before, if I am wrong please do advise
)

Please note the mud all over the front of the car, I believe he was grass tracking. This was the same TVR who outbraked me up the inside at the end of the Revett's Straight (twice, but not in the same session!) and then got in the way, all the way round to the start/finish straight, so hw was a to$$er on the circuit,as well as the road.
Puff, you have got it all wrong. I spoke to the driver of the TVR and he is soooo embarrassed about the incident. As we all know the typical TVR driver has/are(delete where applicable) the largest ***** in Europe. When you overtook him and he saw how beautiful your car was and he got so excited that the gap between him and the car in front was completely filled by his excessively large lunchbox. I hope this explains it all.
Cheers
Scruff

PS apologies to all the Scooby drivers with TVRs

Diablo,
youve kind of said the same thing as me now.
Pull out and have a look a distance back, is what I was saying, just in different language, but, most people dont leave the space, because they are concious that they need so long to get past, so they seek to minimise this by match the speed of the car in front exactly, and sitting 6" off his bumper, obscuring vision, and meaning that they need to be virtually on the wrong side of the road before they can start accelerating.
My point was not to take a 300 yard "run up", but to be a sensible distance back, to be "on throttle" to make a maneuver, but with the decision to go reversible.
This I find is more important in turbo cars, where you can prevent any turbo lag, because your already spinning it, and hopefully not having found the "scooby flat spot".

Oooops apologies to the red TVR driver! I had assumed it was him because he liked to sit racing distance behind my bumper - which is an effective way of making me pull over because I would hate to damage another car when I spin:-)

Yes thanks m8
Normally I wouldn't have bothered with a TVR (
) but good pic - nice light effect. I haven't scanned the others yet, but the negs look good.

Interesting point re Copyright.
I did not actually claim copyright in the post, though it is mine. The authorship of the picture is with Grahame (apologies that I did not acknowledge it at the posting of the picture... ) & should always be recognised as such. However, due to the various copyright laws, that would rest with me, as he was acting as an implicit agent/sub-contractor for me at the time, with equipment/film that I owned, even though the contract was verbal not written. I have a book on the subject from the Association of Photographers
I have amended the post to recognise Grahame as the Author

Thanks M8 for the acknowledgement - I have loads of photos of TVRs, now I need to boost up my Subaru portfolio! Indeed, today at work, a visiting colleague from Italy who lives right next to the San Remo rally route says he's got loads of rally photos - including some good ones of the 555 Scoobies. He said he'll send me some...
