yeah Gears was rediculously short. if theres not the space to put any levels because of graphics then theres a problem.
Theyre concentrating on online and not single player gaming which kinda doesnt work if theres no online...
H3 is going to fall foul of this i can see it happening and we're all gonna bitch how they havent topped H1.

Yeah i can see H3 single player being short as they are relying on the online, however bungie are already laughing all the way to the bank as its already gone gold on pre-sales.

Also Halo 2 sold like a **** , good to see piracy wasnt killing the industry, it's just a case of make something people don't mind spending money on.

Most Anticipated Title of 2007 Released to Manufacturing, Begins Final March to Xbox 360

The wait is almost over. "Halo 3," the final chapter in the groundbreaking "Halo" trilogy and the most anticipated game release of 2007, has been released to manufacturing.

Three years in the making by renowned developer Bungie Studios, "Halo 3" is now finished and will begin its journey to store shelves around the world in less than four weeks. "Halo 3," which has already set new records as the fastest preordered game in history, has exceeded one million presales in North America alone. The title is set to shatter day-one entertainment sales records when it is released worldwide beginning Tuesday, Sept. 25.

"This is a huge milestone for us and a big cause for celebration at Bungie and Microsoft Game Studios," said Harold Ryan, Studio Head at Bungie Studios. "This is the game we've always wanted to make and certainly the best game our studio has developed. We can't wait for gamers to get their hands on it on Sept. 25."

Created by legendary developer Bungie Studios and exclusive to the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system, "Halo 3" will set a new standard for interactive storytelling and social gaming by engaging consumers worldwide in Master Chief's epic battle to save humankind. In November 2004, the world's view of video games changed forever with the release of "Halo 2," which generated a record-setting $125 million (U.S.) in sales within the first 24 hours and changed the way people think about interactive entertainment. Three years later, it remains the most-played game on Microsoft's Xbox LIVEŽ online gaming and entertainment network, with nearly 1 billion hours of online gaming logged to date.

my game has just went all glitchy in fort frolic

the gfx onscreen keep pausing every second or so for about 1/4 of a second

everything kinda "stutters" switched of console, retried it, it still had the fault, so tried a 5 round game of gears on warzone and it was fine

hmm another glitch??

finished the game, got the "saved all little sisters achievement" but never got the "dealt with all little sisters" achievement

there was one point where i took out a big daddie, and the little sister seamed to disappear, couldn't find her afterwards, so i walked around the level again until i found another one and made sure the game had no little sisters left on that level.

will probably trade it in on monday

Are there any other chances of getting the Jackpot achievment as i've passed the Fort Frolic level ?

You can go back to it if you go the any bathysphere station.

There's no trick to getting the Jackpot - its pure luck, took me about half an hour, but stick with one machine and a lot of people think that swapping to another machine resets the counter.

The beauty of wireless controllers, I'd already gone through one wallet-full and was trying again - I was in th kitchen making a brew pressing the A button every 10 secs when I heard a little tune play to say I'd won... those 10G's were a lot better than the $250 jackpot!!

Just to warn you this maybe a spoiler if you havent completed it yet so stop reading now.

I got to Apollo Square before realising that i'd already killed The singing guy (Cohen i think?) and missed out on 2 achievements, so i reloaded my fort frolic save and raced thru the levels missing everything but not shooting him and thus getting the 2 achievements at Olympus Heights, however on entering his secret room i now see there's a weapon upgrade, do i need to use this to get all weapons upgraded, or is there enough thruout the game? as this current save did no research or didn't collect any diaries as i was planning on reverting back to my main save in Apollo

I went for the replay the levels option and finished with 960points. Not a bad game but very short, even with the wandering around exploring still didnt take all that long.

I tried replaying the boss level on hard from a previous save to get the last achievement but it wasnt having any

If I'd known how hard "hard" was going to be I'd have played through on that difficulty first - not much difference to medium from what I can tell, the big daddies seem a little tougher to take out and thats about it.

I was gonna ask you how hard it is, i'll give it awhirl, shouldnt take too long while i can still remember where to go, what to do.

The boss on hard at the end seemed to die easily using the flamethrower with the electric and the gel thingy ammo.

Only other thing I'd say about hard is that there seems to be a bit less ammo knocking about to find, the difference is very minor.

I'm playing through on hard now (trying to pick up a few more achievement points). I've noticed the lack of ammo as well. Also, things take a few more hits to actually finally snuff it (especially the big daddies). The AI seems the same though...

I've been leaving the big daddies, waiting until I get all my weapons upgraded before going back to take them on - started out that I left them for "photographic purposes" cos I missed out on the Research PHD acheivement so thought I'd go back to them once I had the camera.

The Bouncer's certainly seem a bit tougher than the Rosie's this time around.

You could probably get away with killing minimal daddies and just use the adam's on upgrades you actually use, a lot of the stuff i didnt bother with and only bought to get the tonic achievement.

And if you havent already, dont forget to research cameras, turrets and bots

Yes, it tells you in the top right of the screen if something is already maxed.

It helps getting photographer's eye 1,2 later on in the game, also try and wait until they are throwing/shooting at you to get the A grade shot. Same with sec cameras and turrets take the shot directly looking at them with the item centred in the circle of the camera.

You can get away with photographing the same enemy 2 sometimes 3 times. You have to fill the bar 5 times for max research.

As for low ammo, telekinesis is your friend, theres usually some stashed on high ground and usually a lot under water, just point at the water and suck

went back and visited every single level to double check

no little sisters left to save, still not got the "dealt with all little sisters" achievement.

in fact i found a few other bugs as well while wondering about.

the part where you are supposed to escort the little sister, well i just stood there and did nothing and after a short while she magically reached the end with 1/4 health, i left and went via the bathysphere to a few different levels then came back

i approached the fontains lift and the little sister is hanging out the hole trying to give me the adam needle but it wont pick up.

very strange, i think my game is all confused and broken

its cool walking around as a big daddie as non of the slicers bother you until you attack them

I doubt this will work but it might, try clearing the bioshock cache, i think its hold left and right shoulder buttons while game is booting until the 2k screen shows.

Just finished this on medium. Thought it was a superb game. How they used to be. Not much replay value for me but a great experience.

As a side does anybody else think they could released a DLC for multiplayer pretty easily? The weapons work really well later on (love the Xbow myself).
