I think that these look much better than the standard cars bumper but I feel as though you need the rest of the car to match. i.e. As much as would like to fit one it would look stupid fitted to my R sport. However fitted to an STI or WRX with after market wheels and a big spoiler it would look very

LOADS of lovely looking hawkeyes in here!
I've just bought one and collect next week and this thread has given me so many ideas on mods!
Will upload a pic of my silver MY06 WRX PPP, though it's just standard bar the sti spoiler.

I was searching high and low for a white hawkeye, but in the end settle for silver because I got a good deal.

Some amazing hawks in here.
How do you guys all get on with the front splitter?
I have just destroyed my SECOND one in a year. Considering leaving it off now as its getting a pain in the ****.
My Hawke is lowered right enough but it scrapes off every speed bump, car park ramp etc. Its final death was met in the bad snow couple months ago. Was acting more of a snow plough and ripped clean off.
Time before that i creamed a fox doing about 70mph and it to shattered.
Is there is tougher more flexible version you can get that doesnt wreck so easily ?
Hate the front of my car now its gone, it totally improves the looks of the front end.

I don't know why but the "I creamed a fox at 70mph" made me lol so much!
On a serious note, I'd like to know too, as I'm thinking of lowering my car and am worried about smashing the splitter up everywhere.

Haha, wasnt funny at the time. Was like nailing a large dog. Thing went flying !
Done a little bit of damage to my bumper but the splitter followed the fox along the duel carriageway!!!!
Im sure there is a Polyurethane version you can get which is alot tougher. The one i had was fibreglass and it was very brittle.
All i can say is that i know for a fact no matter what version of the splitter i gt next will scrape again on speed bumps etc. I would just leave it off but hate the look of the car without it.

i am on my 3rd splitter, it is a pain in the asse. curbs being the worst culprit and entrances to petrol stations. parking spaces in supermarkets are not deep enough for a hawkeye with a splitter. you get as close to the curb as you dare and it hangs about a foot out of the parking bay

Don't and wont have a front splitter for that reason,
They don't look too bad without.

Hi Bez,
For road use it is such a better car than the Spec C was in the comfort sense of things. For sheer "grunt" it doesn't hold a light to the Spec C, but that is only to be expected tbh. The Spec C had reached 600bhp in it's latter stages of tune.
I have a new turbo to try over the coming weeks and dependant on what happens this week, I may be entering the 1st round of the MLR Sprint. I will be trying some new chassis mods over the next few months, but have no further plans to increase power much. It's simply not needed for a road car and that is predominantley what the car is used for at the moment.
Really pleased I made the change as I had come to the end of road (for me) with the Spec C and my change in remit meant I wanted something for different reasons.
